Pardon me, Mr. Obama, just a few questions, please.
Ah . Sorry to bother you Mr. Obama, Sir
Excuse me Mr. Obama, I mean Senator Obama, sir. Um . . . know you are busy and important and stuff. I mean running for president is very important and . . ah . . . I hate to bother you. I will only take a minute ok, sir?
See, I have these missing pieces that are holding me up, and I was wondering sir, if you could take time out of your busy schedule and help me out. You know, no big deal, just some loose ends and things.
Hey, you have a nice place here! The wife sees houses like this on TV all the time and says boy she wishes she had digs like this you know? Is that painting real? Really? Wow. I saw something like that in a museum once!
Oh, sorry sir. I didn't mean to get off the track. So if you could just help me out a minute and give me some details, I will get right out of your way. I want to close this case and maybe take the wife to Coney Island or something. Ever been to Coney Island? No, I didn't think so. .
Well, listen, anyways, I can't seem to get some information I need to wrap this up. These things seem to either be lockedup or not available. I'm sure it's just some oversight or glitch or something, so if you could tell me where these things are . . . I . . . I . . . have them written down here somewhere . . . oh wait. Sorry about the smears. It was raining out. I will just read it to you.
Could you help me please find these things, sir? Your Occidental College records Your Columbia College records Your Columbia Thesis paper Your Harvard College records Your Selective Service Registration Your medical records Your Illinois State Senate records Your Illinois State Senate schedule Your Law practice client list A Certified Copy of your original Birth certificate Your embossed, signed paper Certification ofLive Birth Your Harvard Law Review articles that werepublished Your University of Chicago scholarly articles Your Record of baptism
I can't seemto be able to locate any........... Oh hey . . listen! I know you are busy! Is this too much for you now? I mean tell you what. I will come back tomorrow. Give you some time to get these things together, you know? I mean, I know you are busy, so I will just let myself out. I will be back tomorrow. And the day after. .
RE: Pardon me, Mr. Obama, just a few questions, please.
Arthur posted his birth certificate which looked remarkably unwrinkled for being 47 years old. I don't believe they had those fonts 47 years ago but I may be wrong.

To be fair... I don't have a copy of MY birth certificate. My mom might have it somewhere. But, I could go to the county clerk in the county where I was born and get a new one issued today, and it would be "remarkably unwrinkled for being 50 years old" and it'd probably have those new-fangled "fonts" on it as well...
RE: Pardon me, Mr. Obama, just a few questions, please.
Like who is really looking for any of these records? Those who want to vote for him, will no matter if he was born in the US or the Congo or got his diplomas from the back of a comic book. Those who don't want to vote for him, won't even if he would come up with every single record you list here. Instead of wasting your time with such stuff on this forum, maybe some of you should go out and convince people who want to vote for Obama why they should vote for McCain instead. That would be more worthwhile and productive for everyone concerned in my opinion. The problem is however, that you guys just LOVE garbage like this and prefer such nonesense over talking seriously about real issues. You guys ought to be reporters for some cheesey gossip magazines.

Blah blah blah. There's plenty of serious talk about "real issues" here. About 3/4 of the time, the guys on your side of the aisle simply refuse to chime in because you know, deep down, that you're wrong. The rest of the time, it's mostly garbage, regurgitated from dailykos by guys like RM who have no real understanding of the issues in the first place.
So, while we're discussing "real issues", please give us a detailed explanation about what happens to a weak economy when you impose massive tax increases? And, in conjunction with this issue, please tell us what happens when nearly a trillion dollars is just given away in new "poverty relief" programs.
Why does your party insist that it's got the right to tell me what a can or cannot have in my gun safe?
Please let us all know why we shouldn't be exploiting ALL avenues to reduce our reliance on foreign oil?
There's a short list to get you started. Convince us why Obama is the guy...

Personally, I think the documents from his adult life ARE pertinent, thesis paper, state records, etc.
Remember when the Dims went crazy looking for W's service record? Then these mindless idiots have the gall to complain about this. Just put up the records and lets see for ourselves.

In 1962, Time Magazine described Occidental as a little giant in a story about the college"™s rise to national prominence. Indeed, this moniker was characteristic of the college"™s growth.
During the late 1960s, a strong anti-war sentiment made its presence felt at Occidental. The students"™ activism was characteristic of a rise of liberalism across campus. In 1969, the school opened its first two co-ed dormitories, and two more followed a year later. On May 6, 1970, the faculty voted to suspend classes in the wake of the Kent State shootings and America"™s invasion of Cambodia. Subsequently, Oxy students wrote 7,000 letters to Washington D.C., protesting U.S. involvement in the war in Southeast Asia.

I got news for you. I am voting for McCain so I don't need to tell you or anyone else about who Obama is, what he's done, and what he wants to do. I will however call things the way I see them and don't only criticize one side and not the other. As I've said it would be more productive for the people who start such irrelevant threads to go out and convince Obama supporters to vote for McCain instead. Unfortunately it seems that many of the card carrying republicans (as do many democrats) prefer taking the low road instead of the high. People on this site are no exception.
RE: Pardon me, Mr. Obama, just a few questions, please.
My apologies. The way the thread flowed, it seemed as though you were just taking a potshot at Republicans. My belief is that most of us here would prefer a focus on the issues. I know that I have defended Obama on the claim that he's a Muslim, and on the insinuation about his birth certificate, above, (and I'd sooner vote for my dog, who is dumber than a rock, than vote for Obama...).
There are plenty of policy reasons (i.e. tax, spending, defense, border, 2nd Amendment, SCOTUS nominations, etc.) not to vote for Obama, so questioning, for example, whether he's a Muslim because he went to a predominantly Muslim school when he was five is very nearly irrational.
RE: Pardon me, Mr. Obama, just a few questions, please.
....true
I do think it would be pertinent and interesting to see what his views were in papers he wrote before becoming a candidate, at a time when the prospects of holding such office did not so blunt his personal beliefs. This is especially true given the huge question marks we already have concerning his slum lord, terrorist, communist, racist and anti-American associations.
