Rainmaker,

The funny thing is that you think what you wrote is all somehow bad. For most of them, I said, yep..yep..yep.

Alternative Energy Sources
: New Locations to drill for gas and oil. (Certainly a great start.)

Climate Change

: The day when the blue states are swallowed by the ocean. (I fail to see the problem here.)

Gun Control
: The index finger, usually on the right hand. No other definitions or usage. (Yep...and proof you are a plant and not a hunter.)

Laziness
: When the Poor are not working. (Yep)

Leisure Time
: When the wealthy are not working. (Also known as 'hunting time')

Liberals
: Followers of the anti-christ. (Well...duh)

Rainmaker, you finally posted some things that we can agree on. You may be coming around after all.

Alternative Energy Sources
: New Locations to drill for gas and oil.
Something that should be a part of any comprehensive energy plan.

Bankruptcy
: A punishable crime when committed by poor people, but not corporations.
Where is this listed as a crime, let alone prosecuted as one?

Cheney, Dick
: The greater of two evils.
Compared to?

Class Warfare
: Any attempt to raise the minimum wage.
Pitting one class of people against another.

Climate Change
: The day when the blue states are swallowed by the ocean.
Most Republicans would regard climate change as a substantial and at least semi-permanent altering of climate patterns.

Democracy
: So extensively exported that the domestic supply is depleted.
Still holding on.

Fox News
: Faux News
Maligned by liberals everywhere for reporting news instead of just the liberal sound bites.

Free Markets
: Haliburton no-bid contracts at tax payer expense.
Allowing corporations to bid on contracts and selecting the winning bidder for the contract.

God
: Senior Presidential Advisor
If the President is wise, yes. If the President is a Democrat, probably not.

Growth
: 1. The justification for tax cuts for the rich. 2. What happens to the national debt when Republicans cut taxes on the rich.
The result of tax cuts stimulating the economy. Bush's 2001 tax cut reduced the bottom tax category from 15% for those making under $27,050 to 10% for under $6,000 and still 15% for under $27,950. It reduced the top tax bracket from from 39.1% for those making over $297,350 to 38.6% for those making over $307,050. The 2003 tax cut further reduced the top bracket down to 35% maximum and upped the $$ limits somewhat on each tax category.

Gun Control
: The index finger, usually on the right hand. No other definitions or usage.
Gun control is using both hands in a good position and shooting accurately. People unfamiliar with this term often mistake trigger control for gun control. Liberals, on the other hand, often mistake gun control for crime control.

Habeas Corpus
: Archaic.(Lat) Legal term no longer in use. (See Patriot Act)
Still being used, contrary to class warfare scare tactics being used.

Healthy Forest
: No Tree left behind
Liberals believe no trees should be cut. Republicans believe in responsible stewardship of a renewable resource that will benefit the environment, animals and mankind. Interestingly, liberal forest practices would actually result in fewer trees if applied without any restraint.[:-]

Honesty
: Lies told in simple declarative sentences. "Freedom is on the March!"
People often tend to project their own shortcomings onto others.

House of Representatives
:Exclusive Club, entry fee $1 million to $5 million
The cost is often true regardless of the party involved.

Laziness
: When the Poor are not working.
A choice wherein a person decides not to work and instead demand others pay for his/her welfare and upkeep. See also "Entitlement Mentality."

Leisure Time
: When the wealthy are not working.
A term that is applied across the board as is evidenced by the posting patterns in this forum.

Liberals
: Followers of the anti-christ.
It is doubtful that many liberals believe in him either.

9/11
: Tragedy used to justify any administrative policy. (See Terror, Terror, Terror,)
A horrible incident of terrorism and murder that was a wake-up call for some and an opportunity for political maneuvering for others.

No Child Left Behind
: There are always jobs in the military.
A good concept that was poorly handled in law.

Ownership Society
: A civilization where 1% of the population, controls 90% of the Wealth.
Traditionally owning a house has defined this term and a substantial majority still meet this prerequisite.

Patriot Act
: The pre-emptive strike on American freedoms to prevent the terrorist from destroying them first.
Another opportunity used for political posturing instead of tweaking this law and making it better, not to mention making America safer for all of us.

Pro-Life
: Valueing Human Life.....until birth.
An interesting overlooking of pro-abortion's devaluation of life before birth.

Senate
: Exclusive Club, entry Fee $10 million to $50 million.
No wonder the liberals need more money.

Simplify
: To cut the taxes of Republican Donors.
The same tax cuts would also apply to all Democrat donors except those who live overseas in places like China, Libya, etc.

Staying The Course
: Saying and doing the same stupid thing over and over, regardless of the result.
Some people are able to determine if a goal is laudable and obtainable and then continue adjusting policies and practices as necessary. Others like Obama and Kerry flip flop on these types of issues and give the appearance of having minimal comprehension.
