Default Obama question?

What does he define as middle class? Where does the line get drawn between middle class and upper class?

Annual income of $250K and above is the defining line.

Yes 250K.

Question to you Obama supporters. Since 40% of America doesn't pay taxes and he's going to have to give them a bate check not a rebate check, does he plan on mailing these out monthly or just once a year in April?

Arthur, I get the $250K thing but have an observation / question. Many "smallish" businesses are Sub-Chapter S Corporations or L.L.C.'s. The business "income" and personal "income" quite typically are wrapped together. Thus, achieving the $250K is not that difficult. They may not be as "rich" as one would suspect. But under the B.O. plan, those folks are going to get hit with higher taxes. These small businesses are the backbone of the economy. Just where is the "neighborliness" in that scenerio?

No BHO has moved to the center. He's no longer going to raise taxes on anyone because it might hurt the economy.

I still want to know how is he going to get the checks in the hands of the 40% who don't pay taxes?

How about you go read this instead of asking me? I'm a retired machinist, not a tax expert. I can get the basic grasp of taxes but beyond that, my brain starts hurting and my eyes go blurry. [&:]

There's stuff in there about tax relief for small business on Fact #4.

Here's basically an overview of the whole tax plan.

And Obama's comparison of his plan to McCains if you want to see it.

First off and foremost, Obama can't pay for his massive spending plan. It aint going to happen. Secondly, his plan calls for bate checks to be mailed out in April or May. How is that going to help the economy and/or the individual? I guess they can go buy another gun but I'm not sure that's what Obama has in mind. Do you? Last, why should I beforced to shell out 5 to 20K more to the government? Why is that fair? My family has to eat to, My kids need to go to school as well, I have bills also.
