Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Sociallism = Neighborly????????

Saw part of an O'Reily interview with BHO. Bill pointed out the socialist slant to BHO's tax "plan". BHO replied that it was just "neighborly" to re-distribute income--take from the rich, give to the poor.

I wouldn't feel to neighborly towards someone taking something that was mine to give it to someone else. I'll donate to the charities of my choice, and help out who I choose.

Someone might point out the proverb "Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach him to fish, he eats for life."

Take away from the rich, they have no motivation to make more money, and sure don't have any reason to keep it in the U.S. Cut taxes, the rich invest in new bussiness, then the poor have more job opportunities. It ain't rocket science. Socialism doesn't work.

Well, at some deep level, it IS neighborly. I tell my neighbor to come over and borrow my lawn mower whenever he needs it. That's being neighborly. I put money in the bucket outside Wal-Mart at Christmas time or in the bucket at the traffic light to help out those who are in need. That's being neighborly.

What Obama and his fellow socialists don't understand is that each of us can decide whether or not we want to be neighborly and how neighborly we want to be. We don't need the federal government determining our level of neighborly-ness for us.

It's only neighborly if it's voluntary. When the government does it, it's robbery. i.e. - Today I'm going to help an older gent with his garden, that's neighborly. If the police came over, picked me up, and forced me to work in his garden, that's socialism.

I don't remember the percentages, but a survey awhile back found that a substantial percentage of teenagers believe that the phrase "from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs" is in the U.S. Constitution.

Now I know Obama doesn't share that ignorance, but he, like most Democrats, has grown up with that philosophy being pounded into him.

They're trying to change the world, and they can do it,and make the world stink, somehow painting it as a success.

Funny thing about Obama, he says he is not going to raise taxes on the middle class as well as give a tax break to 90% of Americans. Then in the same breath he says he is going to repeal the Bush tax cuts. Let me get this right, he is not going to raise taxes, but he is going to take away our tax breaks? Doesnt that mean ill be paying more taxes? I will be paying more taxes under Obamas plan than I am right now. How is that not increasing taxes on the middle class?

Not to mention that approximately 48% of Americans pay no income taxes. I believe B.O.'s plan includes sending a gov't check to those folks. Guess where that money will be coming from? The above phrase (from DLG's post) sums up the whole B.O. philosophy.

Think it'scalled the "New New Math". Kinda like algebra--deals with imaginary numbers and other things that don't actually exist, and you have to throw any and all semblances of logic and reasonout the window tobuy intoit.
