Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

No, and I've already said so. I'm voting on other issues and my anger at the current administration this time around.

The current administration isn't running this time around.

B.O. thinks he can by pointing to some of Obama's statements to the exclusion of 1) other statements, and 2) his voting record.

Words DO matter, Mr. Obama, but so does your voting record!

That's true, ipsc. But I'm P.O.'d to the point where I'm not inclined to reward the Republicans another 4 years, especially with a candidate that has supported the Bush administration 85% of the time over the past two years. (I think that's a more accurate figure than the 90-95% the Democrats are flinging around.) Plus, McCain's recent embrace of the NRA and the 2nd Amendment is at odds with his past record. I think, along with several other issues he's flopped on to appease his base, it's a case of political grandstanding. I do not trust him.

It's better the devil you know than the one you don't. We'll watch Obama like a hawk where McCain could try and slide his anti-gun stuff under the radar while posing as a friend of the 2nd Amendment. I could very well be all wrong, but that's the way I look at it.

I think that is lost on him right now and he sure listens to the Democrats talking points. No denying that.

In your opinion, would you say, that, arguably, both McCain and Obama are "devils", to some extent?

I mean, everyone knows McCain, whereas Obama, who KNOWS him? Yeah, we've heard of him, but we won't know him unless,

A. He wins the Presidency
B. He loses the Presidency, and we see his career in the Senate continue minus an election.

Duh.

Obama hasn't changed his stance on gun control. That is a verifiable, consistent known. McCain has backed legislation on closing gun show loopholes and banning inexpensive guns (apparently he thinks the 2nd Amendment doesn't apply to anyone who can't afford a Glock). Now he's trying to buddy up to the NRA. That makes his stance an unknown. Is he or isn't he?

That's what I'm talking about.

I really don't know what good it would do to watch Obama like a hawk while he signs into lawthe anti-gun legislation the dem. congress is waiting to send him.

I think we should open people's eyes now while it can do some good.
