Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Obama--Why so much attention

Wonder why this guy is getting so much coverage. Even the people who don't like him can't help but talk about him. America (Repubs and Demsseems fascinated with Barrack Obama. I listen to conservative radio frequently and the fact of the matter is, they spend more time talking (although negatively)about Obama than they do McCain. I mean goodness, I understand the attacks, thats the game of politics. But to devote this much time talking about a person who's not even your candidate seems kinda odd. And alot of the subjects that are focused on don't make much difference anyway. For example, I was listening to one host a couple of weeks ago and he started attacking Obama's brother, father, etc. WHO THE HECK CARES ABOUT OBAMA'S BROTHER!!![:'(]Is that all that they can come up with. Lets hear some good things about McCain. To bring this home we can look one this site. Most of the topics seem to be about Obama as opposed to McCain. Are people really that afraid of this guy. Surely the McCain/Palin ticket deserves more attention. What gives???

Actually most of the news until recently has been about Obama, although a lot of it did contain something negative. By choosing Sarah Palin as his VP nominee, McCain has shown a whole other side of his thinking, positions and ideas that has energized the Republicans, conservatives, quite a few Independents, quite a few women and even some Democrats in a positive way.

Although this election has always been very important and critical for gunowners, it has now become far more interesting and hopeful with Palin on the ticket. Sarah Palin represents critical values that many conservatives, hunters, gunowners and people living in the country (and cities) hold dearly and highly value. She has energized our party and this election is going to smash a few glass ceilings.

When you have a presidential election process that drags on forever, then folks are gonna get bored and look for things to discuss. The fact that he is the first viable black candidate in our nations history means that he is the one that will get much of the buzz.

True, that is what I was going to point out as well. But I also think his story is getting old to many people. He's been on the trail for 19 months now. He's told the story hundreds of times over. At this point the people are really not going to hear anything new until he starts talking specifics about his plans or unless he stumbles or commits a gaffe of some sort.

On the other side the McCain/Palin ticket is energized because Palin is a fresh face. Sooner or later the novelty will wear off but until then she is the talk of the town in many places. If she does well against Biden in the VP debate she might very well be able to carry that energy into the voting booths.
