Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default WORDS

Here are a few words that Obama uses ina coupleof his books:

From Dreams From My Father: "I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites."

From DreamsFrom My Father: "I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race."

From DreamsFrom My Father: "I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa, that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela."

From Audacity of Hope: "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

For this to hold any weight you'd have to post the entire page. Taking words out of context simply won't cut it with this informed group. You may get some ignorant posters who jump on it and agree, but anyone else knows its ridiculous to post such a post. I think we had a round about over the last quote there a week or so ago and even the most conservative republicans agreed that when taken out of context it doesn't mean a thing

I would certainly like to see how those statements are ok with other sentences before and after. Seems like several can stand on their own. The interesting thing is, it is his MOTHER and her family who raised him, while his drunk, adultering father left them to knock up someone else. If he had reason to identify with one or the other, it should have been the mother.

From a statement as such can we infer your are pro-choice? Because in being pro-life one realizes that if women were forced to have kids that they don't want to have then many of them will be put up for adoption making their kids orphans. Of course, these women may turn around and become (nice vernacular) knocked up later in life. With your line of logic above, the woman who gave a child up for adoption should be chastised and insulted, no? So, if you are still pro-life then are you for the degradation of a woman who gave up the child?

This is a mis-quote. Check Snopes. I don't know about the others. Why don't you read the books instead of quoting out of context and mis-quoting?

Try to stay away from chain emails.

You did not explain the context, either. Obama was talking about what he would do with people who were subjected to religious discrimination. He said he would suuport their right to freedom from bias.

Try to stay away from chain emails.
