I understand Obama said in his DNC acceptance speech that the Republican's position can be summarized as "You're on your own."
What's wrong with that? I've been on my own since I left college. My sisters have been on their own since they left our parent's house.
Is there any more clear indication that Obama intends to expand the welfare state and hook more people on the Soma of dependency on entitlements rather than taking care of themselves and becoming productive members of society?
Insanity.... I suppose it feels good to think that way, I suppose a person gets a feeling of pride from thinking they are fully self sufficient,..mind you, its only conceavable to say, when you are doing "OK". Its kind of like getting really patriotic when war is near, right or wrong lets attack!! The fault in your thinking is the fact that the United States is controlled by a higher power, and some people get a false sense of safety, not fully knowing that every tangible thing in the U.S. is under a higher powers finger, especially things needed for life. Jobs, food, fuel, electric, Health, dollar value, ect. ect. ect. None of these things are under any one citizen. The very phrase "your on your own" should cause an immediate uproar of Americans. If you are truley on your own, then you shouldn't pay tax, or follow any laws. For the Republicans to even suggest that "your on your own" shows the true agenda of these crooks. And how pride has some even beleaving it.
