Question about foreign policy and Alaskan Governors
Within 30 seconds after Sara Palin was announced asVP candidate, folks on the left were screaming that she has no foreign policy experience. However, the last time that I checked, Alaska is pretty much sandwiched in between Russia and Canada, and is actually quite geographically isolated from the mainland U.S. So, one would think that any given Alaskan governor may have a bit more experience in foreign relations compared to say, the governor of Kansas. Does anyone know if Alaskan governors do actually have more practical dealings in foreign relations given that state's somewhat unique location?
