How many of you have heard Obama called the 'n' word thus far and heard folks making racial slurs against him?
How many of you have heard people make racist remarks about him?
I'll go first.
I have heard these names/comments from at least 3 dozen people, perhaps more.
Most all were male, I can only recall one female using the slurs.

I honestly haven't heard any racial slurs directed at Obama. Well, there's one old witch I know who slurs everybody, but she's a nutcase so I don't count her.
I figure if you're over 55, you've got every right to make fun of his age.*
Maybe. But wouldn't you say that the wisecracks about McCain's age are meant to be demeaning, just as the wisecracks about Obama's race are meant to be demeaning against him? Doesn't the human necessity to be respectful of fellow man apply across the board?

i heard some stuff the other day......overheard this younger lady(my age)was saying that shes glad that Palin is running because it gives her a reason to vote for Mccain, who she doesnt really like, but didnt want to vote for a ******.
ive heard lots of stuff about obamas skin.....making fun of an old man is completely different....what younger guy doesnt tease an old man about his age???...old men tease themselves about there age.....
you never hear a black guy say:
"im just a dumb ******"
but you here old people say:
"im getting old"
all the time
I'm sure a lot of nitwits do intend to be demeaning. On the other hand, his age IS an issue. It was one of the first things I thought about when he clinched the nomination.
Watching my father sitting in his easy chair discussing Obama is like being in a living episode of All in the Family. Safe to assume that quite a few will vote against him because of skin color, but then again quite a few will vote for him because of it. So, it all evens out.

another issue is security and McCains age.....there a lot bigger chance that he dies in office or has health problems....and even tho you all wont admit it...im pretty sure you dont want little miss Palin running the show on short notice.
Obamas skin color is a security issue too....but to die from assassination is way alot less likely than McCain suffering a heart attack...or another bout with skin cancer.
