I'm not really surprised that this hasn't caught on with the mainstream media yet. But I'd expect it to get some attention when Obama gets served tomorrow.
Basically in a nutshell the laws back in the day were that you could not hold both an Indonesian citizenship and US citizenship at the same time. When Barack's mom married an Indonesian man she took his last name. Barack took the last name as well. (Soetoro) Barack Obama has also gone by the names Barack Soetoro, Barry Soetoro, Barack Dunham and Barry Dunham.
By Indonesial law a woman may not take an Indonesian mans last name unless she has Indonesian citizenship. So by taking the last name both Barack and his mother had to give up the US citizenship.
Barack has recently denied that his mother ever married this man however documents have recently surfaced that show she filed for divorce back in the 80's.

It may and it may not. But the questions need to be answered. Just like in Palin's abuse of power investigation. The attorney (Phil Berg) is a Hillary supporter. He says that he feels there is a 99.9% chance that Obama cannot legally run for president.

I agree in that I'm surprised that it hasn't been discussed sooner. Especially on the right wing talk shows. Perhaps it really is a waste of time. Or maybe nobody wants to touch the coverage since there is so much at stake? As I said previously I think it's legitimate to question his citizenship. It should be pretty simple for him to prove. But what I find is odd is that the Obama camp generally jumps all over ads, smears and other anti-Obama information. But other than releasing a certificate of live berth they really have not acted on this.
And I agree, that guys website is bad. You can search the subject and find other sites as well as the actual court papers that have been filed.

That is one of the valid questions being asked. Much of this has to be considered as the laws applied back when this all happened and not by todays standards. From what I have read they did not have dual citizenship like they do today. Back then Indonesian law would have required Barack to be an Indonesian citizen in order to take his step fathers last name and also to attend any Indonesian schools.
There is also question of where he was born. His grandmother and brothers have said he was born in Kenya and then was transported to Hawaii to get a certificate of live birth.
Similar questions could be raised against McCain since he was born at a military base somewhere near the Panama canal. Technically not in one of the 50 states.
Sounds good...I wish it were true, but if it really mattered... it would have been a issue that would have been addressed before now and we all know what would have happened.
