Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Nobamas Eneergy Policy ..what a farce

I probably lost 20-30 IQ points just by visiting that site but I will list his initiatives and what I think of them. What is frightening is that more then one Obama supporter is one too many if they are that stupid.

Obama"™s comprehensive New Energy for America plan will:
[ul]
Provide short-term relief to American families facing pain at the pump Tax the oil companies into moving offshore and raising the price of gas at the same time sounds like a Master plan to me[*]Help create five million new jobs by strategically investing $150 billion over the next ten years to catalyze private efforts to build a clean energy future. [/ul]
Where the F does this guy come up with these random buzzword numbers 5 million that is laughable

Within 10 years save more oil than we currently import from the Middle East and Venezuela combined.
[ul][*]Put 1 million Plug-In Hybrid cars -- cars that can get up to 150 miles per gallon -- on the road by 2015, cars that we will work to make sure are built here in America. [/ul]
UHHHHH best car right now GM volt which will be out in 2010-2011 gets 50+ miles per gallon
[ul][*]Ensure 10 percent of our electricity comes from renewable sources by 2012, and 25 percent by 2025. [/ul]
WHat renewable resources wind and solar ? Those alone cannot account for that number no way no how. Furthermore what about immediate energy needs until we convert to other technologies? No answer for that on his site
[ul][*]Implement an economy-wide cap-and-trade program to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 80 percent by 2050. [/ul]
Drive even more businesses offshore ..don't worry about it though even if he is elected he will only see 2012 as Prez

You're quite the realist I see. Good thing over the past 300 years we've had more idealists than realists, eh?

Now, if you can explain how your candidate is going to do all this, you will be one step closer to being president than he is. Cheerleading is great, but for crying out loud, how are we giong to accomplish these goals. Also, with out tapping our own oil and natural gas, how are we going to meet our present needs. 20 years down the road is a little too late.

Here's his energy plan: http://www.barackobama.com/pdf/factsheet_energy_speech_080308.pdf

I'm certainly no authority on such a plan, but it seems to me that half of it cancels out the other half. Judge for yourself.

Thanks Kevin

Its odd how he proposes solving the present crisis by throwing money at the problem. And when we put on a windfall taxes, whose going to pay for exploration and alternate fuel research????? How is it going to help me to have 1000 dollars sent to me by the oil company, while I"™m still having to absorbed that debt at the store on every day products. I don"™t see how this is going to increase the energy we need. Throwing money around is not going to increase production, so the money they throw at us, is going to go back to the oil company in increased prices due to demand, or as I mentioned, on every day products due to shipping costs. I guess I need to have a tune up and air up my tires. Waaaaaiiiitttt, I already do that. I guess I"™m screwed.

Also, how is taking money from the oil company going to help me. It"™s just going to go back to the middle east, because if we do not start producing our own, we will have to get is somewhere. The middle east will still have us by the short and curlies if we implement Obama"™s plan.
