RAMADI, Iraq: Two years ago, Anbar Province was the most lethal place for American forces in Iraq. A U.S. marine or soldier died in the province nearly every day, and the provincial capital, Ramadi, was a moonscape of rubble and ruins. Islamic extremists controlled large pieces of territory, with some so ferocious in their views that they did not even allow the baking ofbread.
On Monday, U.S. commanders formally returned responsibility for keeping order in Anbar Province, once the heartland of the Sunni insurgency, to the Iraqi Army and police. The ceremony, including a parade on a freshly paved street, capped one of the most significant turnabouts in the country since the war began five and a half yearsago.
....no thanks to the poor judgement of the whole premise of Obama's retreat policy. This day don't happen without "the surge" and we all know Obama's stance on that.

You forgot to mention that that street was paved by taxpayer money.
Better over there (where our troops are) then if Africa where Obama's brother is...

For those who understand, no explanation is needed. For those who do
not understand, no explanation is possible.
A golf course is a willful and deliberate misuse of a perfectly good rifle range.
There is no victory and honor, in bankrupting your own country ona war, that is not a war, and is for all the wrong reasons. How can you be patriotic orcall it victory. These people hate us for what we beleave and what we have done, for the reasons of a corporate cash-in.
We won the war 5 years ago when we went in and kicked Iraq's butt, captured Saddam and killed those abhorrent sons of his. We should have sent those troops on into Afghanistan and wiped out the Taliban and Al Qaeda and blown Bin Laden to hell in the same fell swoop. We could have saved 4,000 American lives by doing that, rather than creating more and more terrorists in response to our occupation and letting them have free shots at our people... and saved ourselves about $500 billion in the process.
We could have left Iraq with victory and honor then. We can leave Iraq with victory and honor right now. Let Haliburton pay the price tag for their own security.
LOL, exactly, there are like 30,000 business's over there cashing in on our tax money and protection, new infastructure to boot. Also, now we are funding Health care for the Iraq people. Unbeleavable!!!!!!![:@]
