Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Can you be a liberal/Dem, AND a hunter?

Well, can you?

I've often been completely buffalo'd at the idea that hunters would possibly vote their rights to bare arms away. In effect, by casting your vote for the democratic party, this is in essence, what you are voting FOR (abolishment of the 2nd amendment), correct?

YES.

Not all Democrats are anti-gun, just like not all Republicans are pro 2nd Amendment.

I reckon you can, but I don't understand it. I realize that there are conservative Dems, but the party leaders are radically left-wing liberal. Makes no more sense to me that someone claiming to be religious and supporting the party of "gay rights" and abortion. Your local Dem mayor may be a staunch convservative (why they cling to the Dem party is beyond me), but again--the party leaders, the ones to get things done on a national level, are radical left-wingers.

On the flip side, I don't understand liberal Republicans either.

The answere is YES....Also voting for the Demomcratic party is not a vote to abolish the 2nd amendment. There will always beSOME gun legislation one side or the other. The word SOME is not the same as ABOLISHMENT. I am a Hunter, and have guns for protection, I also have a permit to carry, but I am going to vote Democrat in order to save our oconomy and our world standing.

A liberal can be a hunter but do a search on voting records and introduction of new gun laws then link it to which party has a clear bigger part in gun control. It is not the republicans.Obams and Biden have voted anti gun almost every chance they get. There is also no proof what so ever that Omama will help the economy or our standing in the world. It's anybodies guess and a guess is all it is. There is absolulely no proof that McCain will do anything the same way Bush did. As far as McCain voting with Bush, almost all the bills which Bush has signed were approved by most of congress both Dems and Rep,s Of course the spin folks never tell you that.

The way you should have put it is why would people vote for Obama.
All so the Gov. of Montana is for guns he even has a rifle hanging on the wall of his office and he is a DEM.
All so Governor Brian Schweitzer is one of the only DEMs that is backed by the NRA.( Life member NRA)
all so Sen. Max Baucus a MT US Senator has voted on Key issues to support gun owners and he is a DEM.(and a Life Member NRA)
But Most Dem are anti gun

Thats two in a row. Please tell me why you are convinced that Obabma will help the economy and improve out standing in the world. I mean real proven facts that they have really done. I wish I could see the future like some of you Einstiens can. Poor me, I would just have to wait and see. Their voting record are public knowledg, neither Obama nor Biden have any track record on our standing in the world or running the economy. In many cases, do we want to change what other countries think about us? Do we have to be a Monkey see Monkey do society?
