Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default A confluence of winds...and events...

It seems that the hurricane may change the entire tone of the Republican convention and may affect what ads are being run by each party's candidate while people are in the midst of dealing with the storms.

Oddly the weather may change political history. CNN reports the president Bush will now NOT attend the convention, nor will the VP...because of the storm (supposedly...or is that by design using the storm as an excuse). All good common sense... or backlash caused by the sharp criticisms hurled in the wake of Katrina?

Interesting stuff.

I guess GW Bush and Dick Cheney not showing at the Republican convention is probably a good thing for McCain/Palin. If the hurricane offers them a pretext for staying away, so much the better.

I guess if I were McSame I would be trying to distance myself from Bush/ Cheney. Better lucky than good but the storm gave them a break. Bad luck for everyone else though.

Bush produced this storm with his spooky weather machine, just like he did with Katrina. He planed it all out so he wouldnt have to go to the R.N.C..

We get to see how much better things run with Bobby Jindal at the head, instead of Blanco. I pray that the hurricane does not do such damage, however I believe it will be handled much better than Katrina - from the onset.
