Default Palin Pick = Pandering?

Please explain to me how the Palin pick for VP is simply "pandering" to get the women vote.

What if BO had picked hillary, would he have been pandering?

IMO - anyone that thinks that is a sexist pig. Assuming that women will only vote based on gender of the canidates...

I don't see it as pandering at all. Each candidate needs votes. It's obvious the democrats take the women's vote for granted. The republicans seek them out by demonstrating their inclusiveness yet again,
this time for hte office of VP. Can we say the Dems pandered to the black/minority voters by propping up ol' scarecrow Obama and anointing him the Holy One on network TV ? Cripes....they're all 'mining for votes'...some get nuggets here and there....some strike the mother lode. I believe McCain struck a major vein, leaving Obama digging for nuggets....

yea its pandering....all the fox news people talking about how a big % of the woman that supported hillary wont vote for Obama....because hillary isnt with him...and how its gonna get McCain in the office.

McCain is trying to get some of those votes of the woman that said they werent gonna vote Obama with out hillary....or vote at all.

its so obviouse its funny. Romney wouldnt help him atall neither would the other jokers that were considered....so whats he do....pick a woman to try and getthe disgruntledwoman vote.

Mccain is grasping for anything.....he knows he doesnt have a chance....the poles are bogus ...if the media doesnt make the race seem close...people wont watch cable news.

No....Democrats get 95% of the Black vote no matter who runs.

im white im gonna vote Obama....all different kinds will vote for him.

McCain doesnt have it this time he didnt have it the first time he ran either.

what % of the voting pop do blacks represent???? its gotta be around 10% i dont get the big deal.... if Obama was white it wouldnt be a discussion and McCain would just roll over and play dead, or die....the race would be over before it started there would be less contravercy or whatever surrounding obama....

if he was white McCain probably would win maybee 4 states.

I can guarantee you people are watching now.

This is a smart pick for many more reasons than the fact Palin is a woman. Sarah is a good example of my idea of a strong women. I think a perfect example of that is her lifetime membership in the NRA. When you look at some real issues that women face, from belittlement to being the weaker sex (physically) to the worry of sexual predators, etc.
for the life of me I cannot understand why more women are not as adamant about the second amendment. I have always said that I insured my allegiance and faithfulness to my wife when I taught her how to shoot.

Obama wouldn't be where he is if America was racist. It took a LOT more whites to get him to be the nominee than blacks. But I still think if McCain/Palin aren't elected, America is sexist and goes back to the 60's and before where women were treated as subordinates and second class citizens to men. No sooner did we hear Palin as VP candidate, the Obama campaign attacked that woman with pot calling the kettle black criticisms!
