I came across this article on the coupon queen. It caught my eye and I emailed the writer to let her know how much I enjoyed it and to confirm where I could get a link. Bottom line, I love sales and marketing and here is another example of somoeone with nothining and backed into a corner,built a fortune out of need and desire. FYI a $12,000,000.00 fortune. Enjoy!

The thought occurs to me that all the stores that I've ever seen issuing or accepting coupons are usually charging the most overall. Kroger and Safeway are the worst offenders, with their buying power they should be the lowest priced chains when in fact they're #1 &#2 respectively for most expensive. Coupons are also issued for name branded products only, and with careful shopping you can find enough private label or generic brands to more than offset the savings of any coupons. Salt and sugar are salt and sugar regardless of who markets them, and while there are some products for which there is no satisfactory substitute, the consumer is usually better off without name brands. I applaud the lady for her motivation though, she's a real American success story.
