Chet Edwards-Obamas VP?

CNN is posting a story saying that it is looking like Chet Edwards of TX is going to be his choice for VP. I didn't know much about Edwards, so I googled him. One point of note I found is that he voted 100% with the NRA on gun issues. I still don't like Obama, but if this is in fact his pick for VP, it's a wise choice (at least where the 2nd Ammendment is concerned).

He still wont pull Texas. I wonder if McCain will grab Lieberman in a similar attempt at pulling votes?

I'm thinking McCain will probably choose Ridge. Not only would Ridge make McCain a lock to take Pennsylvania, it would help McCain win some of the Pro-Choicers from Hillarys camp.

If I recall, Lieberman flopped on some issues for the chance to beVP, so don't take Chet's position on gun control as a given.

Considering the fact that the job of the VP is to assist the president and to preside over the senate,
the veep choice can rival God Almighty in all things big and small, but not make a lick of difference about
the putrescence sweeping from the Oval Office. There will be no pro-gun initiatives out of this presidency,
if the American people are yoked with this obamanation.

From what I've been hearing and reading, Ridge is out, Lieberman is out. He's gonna pick Mitt Romney.
