Wasn't that the main theme Pelosi kept chanting in the run up for the 2006 election. We're going to replace this do nothing congress. Well congrats on her part. She did replace it with an even more do nothing congress and for once I have to give her thumbs up. As long as they do nothing they can't really screw up too much of our lives can they? I know some of you aren't happy with todays gas prices but hey, she promised to fix them too.
Here is there record: In two decades of record keeping by congress, the have past the fewest laws ever at 294.

However, they have been very productive proposing a record amount of resolutions at more than 1,900. Hey RM, before you go cheering now, realise resolutions are non-binding and aren't law. However lets look at this important stuff passed:
Soil is an "essential natural resource"
May 5-9 National Substitue Teacher Reconition Week
July 28 as the Day of the American Cowboy
Things I'm not sure if they passed or not:
National Funeral Director and Mortician Recognition Day
July as National Watermelon month
Two more important resolution bogged down:
reconizing America's Christmas-tree industry
The origins of Baseball.
