Default Wal-Mart with an Agenda?

Who would of thought that such a large, Rich, Far right, business like Wally World would order their employee's into meetings to strongarm them into voting Republican. Of course this is against campaign/election laws, although evidently Walmart is willing to take the fine. These people will stoop to all time low's by scarying employees into voting for a candidate that is against Union legislation. These Giant companies are really getting deperate to protect their pocketbooks. Threat's without threat, just explain to the employee's why voting Dem will impower them with possible higher wages, and expect the employee's are stupid enough to vote Republican to help? .................or of course, if we think you voted dem, your fired.[:@]

Good move on their part. Since they have done more for stretching the paycheck from week to week, of course the unions and the dems would be pissed. They can't control the money and/or get the credit.

Oh wait, Hillary did sit on the board for several years.[:-]

And, according to them, every single one of their employees LOVES working for them. A company that keeps their employees happy, pays a decent wage and treats them fairly shouldn't be worried about unions at all. So I don't see why they'd have the slightest fear that their employees would organize. Unless....[:-]

Yeah... interesting that the Dems are in the pocket of the unions, and supporting a proposition that would take away the use of secret ballots in votes on whether to become a union shop. Yet they complain about the exercise of free speech...

Please explain Rainmaker... Is a Wal-Mart manager going to go into the voting booth with each and every Wal-Mart employee to ensure that they mark the right spot on the ballot? "Strongarm"??? What a bunch of clowns.

I guarantee that if the employees had been asked to attend a meeting where they were singing the praises of his holiness, Saint Obama, the Dems would be putting Wal-Mart up for a Congressional Medal of Freedom rather than complaining about alleged violations of campaign laws.

And if they had, the GOP nitpickers would be doing exactly what the Dems are doing, only having their hatchet man and liar extraordinaire, Corsi, publishing a half dozen new books to go along with it.[8D]

Why does everyone hate wal-mart??

I enjoy paying less for the things I need, allows me to buy more things I want, but don't need.

I guess all you old farts are having trouble adapting to the new "Global Economy"[8D]

Last I recall, republican union members are forced to pay for democratic political campaigns. At least be consistent and admit that is worse.

And the union has never strong armed anybody. Like the free choice act eliminating secret ballot. SO everyone knows how you voted in an election? Union is not needed in a modern work environment. Wally is sued everyday anyway so why does its workers need a union? Walmart does not want unions due to the fact they want to keep secure the retirement for their employees. The union will bankrupt any company at any time. The unioncan only guarantee negotiation. Todays business model needs flexibility and the union is as flexible as a 2x4. Automobiles cost so much becauseChevy has to pay $30 an hour for fifteen minutes of work from the union members. Why does the foreign automakers have a better product at lower cost? They pay less to their workers and the workers work hard to ensure their jobs. A union inflates workers salaries to the point of bankrupting the employer. ***an has a Unique business model, one that ensures the jobs of its workers.

The steel union here was loved until they bankrupted the factory then the members wondered where their retirement went. The Union hall did not have the money they bargained for. The union reps went to other jobs with pay raises.
