Truly excellent. Unfortunately, it was also somewhat anticipatory of the kind of garbage we deal with today.
It does seem that Red was proud of his country, and not just for the first time when he took the stage.
This is in sharp contrast to that which intends to sully the office of the president in January of 2009.
I'd say that is quite a contrast to, "For the first time in my adultlife, I am proud of my country."
C. Davis
We sure could use more like 'Red'. Now we have the exact opposite getting up in front
of a camera or microphone......even running for president right now !
Bookmarked. I'm sure I was watching that night because I never missed one of his shows. He was a funny man but also a great American. Very few in show business these days are worthy of the love and respect he earned.
I was particularly fond of Gertrude and Heathcliffe.
