Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Dang, bad news for the Dem's again!

Well we had 1% growth in GDP first qtr. Today it's just been released we grew at 2%. Could Bush's fall predictions been right all along? They predicted a slow down but skim pass a recession and up take in the second half of the year. Remember all this despite a major housing price adjustment in a lot of areas and record gas prices. Then add in the the number of homeless has dropped 13% under Bush's watch. The war in Iraq is on the verge of being declared a win not a surrender like the Dems wanted. What exactly is Obama going to run on?His experience?

Remember how Phil Gramm was absolutely crucified for saying that the economy wasn't that bad off and that we were a nation of whiners? Seems like he was right. The point is, Gramm was talking about the abstract economy that is characterized by various vital statistics such as GDP growth, interest rates, etc., not by how much Joe Six-pac is suffering when he fills up the tank of his Ford F-150. The media took pleasure in twisting Gramm's words around into a characterization of Gramm -- and by association, McCain -- was out of touch with "the People." Poppy-cock. Media posturing and demagoguery . . . as if those well educated media mongers don't understand the abstraction of the economy that Gramm was talking about.

First of all do not count your chickens before they hatch... Growth should continue for a little while, but will suffer greatly in the later months. With the price of fuel and oil being the biggest problem. As the colder months move in and prices start rising even higher there will be more companies closing up shop. Also right now up here gas prices have fallen 40 cents in the past 2 weeks and with a $5 per barrel rise yesterday gas prices once again will be climbing up. If the economy is doing so good why are most of the lakes lacking boaters and campers that return each year? I guess they do not have that much faith in it either.
For as far as Iraq the dems want to mostly give the country back to the people ofIraq where it belongs. For as far as a win in Iraq I do not think there is one unless you can recall Bush's words of it being Mission Acomplissed shortly after invading. There might not be as many attacks but they appear to be getting better at. Iraq belongs to the people of Iraq not any other country..

And the crystal ball says.....

You can thank the idiots running the House of representatives and the Senate for the lack of boaters and paucity of free cash...looks like $5 and $7 gas prices are REALLY what the democraps are hoping for. I guess if we DON"T drill, THAT will cause the cost of gasolene to moderate. Morons....

WHat the Commies running the house and senate like to say, is your pap word for word. The fact is that the stated intent was ALWAYS Iraq for Iraqis. We just don't want to run outta there like a bunch'a whipped dogs before we CAN ENSURE Iraq is for Iraqis. Again, what pap.....
that's right....still time for HOPE for future failure, right Phil ?
And that's the point: you LIBERAL DEMS WANT TO SEE THIS COUNTRY FAIL. What pukes....

That's a funny thing....and something the dummies will never admit; that the Iraqis appreciate U.S. intervention in their hell of a life. Even more than the government of Iraq, the PEOPLE of Iraq appreciate
U.S. involvement. And for what its' worth, and to clear the 'fog of war' from your somewhat confused skull, the people bombing and killing are NOT Iraqi nationals...they are IRANIANS and they are SYRIANS and they are anything other than IRAQIS. They kill indiscriminately, and they take westerner and muslim
alike. Our "difference in the way ' we see things, is the fact that your premise is incorrect. Like all libs, you start out with a flawed premise, choke it down as fact, then build an entire argument based on that crap premise. The people of Iraq ALREADY have their country back...they cannot hold it without our help.
That's a fact. So in your 'flower power' idiot world, running away is victory, and whatever you're told from CNN is God's own word...DAH !

And whatever Fox tells you is God's own word.

FM, 1% is not growth LOL, it is a joke. The numbers were fudged just alittle for election purposes. I am seeing more and more everyday, that things are being nudged to be alittle better, just a political ploy. This includes the War, Oil prices, economic growth, ect. ect. All now trying to be painted as alittle better, just before the elections. Hillarious
