Turns out that prediction made back in May about the artic to be ice frree aint happening this year. Go ahead and hope and pray things reverse the next year. I would hate to see all of your predictions be wrong.

here's the title of the article...perhaps that will explain things a little more clearly. Doesn't seem like an appropriate citing to dispute global warming, if that was your intention.

No it was really a follow up to the thread back in May whenthe alarmist where celebrating that the Artic could be ice free this year. I predicted back then it wouldn't happen and I also predict that it won't happen in the years to come. We have gone into a cooling cycle and no one can predict how long that will be going on.

No your pulling the pieces out from the alarmist. Predictions aren't news. They are just plain predictions. We absolutely are in a cooling phase and have been so for the last 8 years as confirmed by satelite data. Scientist have also seen the sun go dormant for the last few years. That means no solar flare and no sun spots. Hmmm, could there be a link there?

Parts of Alaska are experiencing the coolest summer in nearly 40 years. Lots of other places are experiencing unusually cool summers as well. I guess that we will have to wait until next year for the polar caps to melt and flood us all[]

Thank you for giving me permission to live my life freely there hillbilly. Just to let you know that I'm doing just that. I've just got back from my third vaction trip this year. I loaded my family into my 1997 Ford Expedition with 297k+ mile on it and about 4k come from these trips alone. My first vacation was to your state to do nothing more than to drink massive amounts of beer trucked in from far away places and to watch fireworks. I would also add in the fact the personal fireworks were also lit but then again that maybe an illegal activity and therefore banned by the rules on this board. On one of our vacations, we were really bad. We went boating around the whole week, rode jet skis and even took the boat out at night instead of the car or public transportation just so we had the convience of getting into the clubs without waiting in line. Then to make matters worst, my son and I looked at a few off shore boats. They were very nice and some pretty quick. Didn't buy one yet, I'm still looking right now.
So go ahead there Hillbilly. You can feel all warm inside believing your making a difference out there because you've swapped out your light bulbs. Just remember the man running out in front sounding the alarm upped his own engergy consumption this year again in his own home, flys one of the worst personal jets in terms of gas hog and leaves his "FLEET" of SUV's idling in the parking lot to keep them cool on the inside while demonizes everyone else for wasting energy. One day in the future you will see the alarmist flip flop like they have many times before as already documented many times before on this forum. You'll come to realise this proposal for a cap and trade system is nothing more then another tax and getting successful companies that have perfected their business model to subsidise their competion all in the name of liberal feel good polcy in trying to make things fair.

I see no harm in gradually adopting environment friendly policies that will be helpful in the long run IF manmade global warming is really an issue. However, that cautious approach is very different from buying into the Gore and media driven hysteria that has reached the point where people are literally persecuted for not buying into Gore's negative vision hook, line, and sinker.
