I just saw an ambulance at the neighbors, crazy neighbor was beating his gf silly it sounded like. I grabbed the dog and ran out the door to check it out, and as I was walking up saw the state police pullin in.

There should be a disclaimer stating that this thread has nothing to do with the dog, it's just a public service announcement about the tradgedy of the child dying a senseless death. Maybe mention the real cause was negligent adults. Nobody would use the tragic death of a childfor nothing more thana pitiful attempt at an "I told you so"--would they?
The reason this child has been mentioned on two threads recently is because this is the only child that has died tragically so farthis year--right guys? I mean, if any other child had died in a tragic way there would be threads about them too, and about measures that the governmentshouldtake immediatelyto prevent it from ever happening again--that would be the prudent thing to do, right?
After all, the loss of a child's life is the focus--not the utter disdain some folks have for a type of dog......right?

Police tell us thethree-year-oldwas outside playing and wandered across the street near the area where the dog was chained up.
"Reportedly, the child was visiting from across the street andplaying with kids there at the home when the toddler wandered into the carport area where he was subsequently attacked by the family's pit bull," said Jackson police spokesman Jeffery Scott.
Signs of a gathering were visible later in the evening. Empty beer bottles and other containers littered the area.

Doesn't matter FG--it's the dog's fault. Same "logic" as HCI uses against guns, and libs use against President Bush. It's not the parent's fault (or whoever was in charge of watching after the child)--it's not about the kid anyhow, it's about the dog.
If it was about the kid, then this entire board would be flooded with tragic stories about kids dying senseless deaths, and people hollering for officials to take immediate action--passing laws, making restrictions, whatever it takes--to stop it from happening again. The only death that matters is one where a certain type of dog is involved. Like I said--it's nothing to do with the kid--it's all about the dog--or, more accurately, some people's bias and/or hatred for a certain type of dog.
