The area I live in is getting a real good look at what will be happening when they drill here and now. One problem the meetings Chaney had awhile ago helped make operations like this exepmt from the clean air and water laws.
Another problem we are experiencing is horizonal drilling, the company drills down and then horizontal right under your property even if they don't your property leased.

No offense Charlie, but I am sick, sick, sick of the gas prices. If it will get us back to $2.50 a gallon gas, i don't care if i see oil derricks and NOW pits in the White House yard next week. [:@]

I live next door to a landfill. I can't drink my water now. At least in the previously discussed scenario, I could afford to drive to the store and get bottled water, or the appropriate alcoholic beverage as a substitute.

I have a private well. I learned after i bought the place that the nice "hill" nearby is a landfill.
But then again, I have lived in Louisiana and Texas when environmental standards for the oil industry were much more lax than today, and i survived drinking the water there.
