Please send a notice to the Attorney General of NJ about their crazy firearms laws. We are going to teach NJ that the they should ban the pen because it is mightier than the sword. See this Utube link and then pass it on.

In your letter state that no public officials from the State of NJ are allowed on your property. If they show up, have them arrested for defiant trespass. If they are in possession of a firearm... they to should get a 3 year mandatory sentence.
The power of the people is in action..... I am tired of these abusive laws and regulations. Here is what I will do. Come to my farm Highland Hill Farm 5275 West Swamp Rd Fountainville Pa. 18923 to sign a notice/ petition that I will send to NJ officials. I will mail it to the Attorney General in NJ and Attorneys for various municipalities in NJ. You know the only way to stop government is when you go after their money. Each time they receive a letter , many of these attorneys charge for reading the letter, coping it and sending their opinions of it to the relevant public officials. You see, a 41 cent letter may cost the receiver hundreds of dollars. This will become a numbers game. When they find having the law is to costly the law will be repealed.
Maybe an attorney could help me write a better letter that is more effective. You can copy and paste this message and send it to others.. Form a chain email letter?? Any suggestions are welcome. Bill
1: picking a fight with 'The State' may not be the brigtest of moves, insofar as they have unlimited resources
with which to make your life a living hell. There are things to fight and ways to fight, but to proclaim
your property off-limits to state employees is provocative to say the least, and may not hold up when
push comes to shove, if a state employee must enter your property in the conduct of state business.
2: the firearms laws of NJ are actually pretty easy. I got my rifle/shotgun and handgun licenses in New York
City. Those laws are ridiculous, and the penalties are at least as bad in NYC as they are in NJ. Add the
fact that each time a license is renewed (every 2 or 3 years) you must do so in person, and for a fee.
In NJ, the licenses are good 'until revoked'.
3: those who follow the law are in posession of a Firearms Owner's Identification card. This would have
made that BB-gun a non-issue. So, why was ol' grampa riding around with something the state
classifies as a 'firearm' without the proper authorization ?
First...I am not a NJ resident so if I ban NJ state employees from my property that is my bussiness. They have no authority over me on my property they have no rights to enter onto my property without permission. Second... They do not have unlimited funds. They do have large and deep pockets but they don't want to spend money fighting these sorts of things. Politicians want little opposition to their agendas. One person fighting city hall is nearly impossible... Thats why I want others to help. They can fend off one person but not millions. What I have here is a very simple idea. Send the SOBs a legal notice...The content of the notice is not really important...its the costof the reaction that is important. Every letter that the state recieves uses up state funds. More letters and legal notices...more costs for the state. If you don't like Pepsi you can boycott pepsi. That hurts Pepsi financially.. Thats how you boycott a corporation. A government is not like a corporation so to punish a government you have to devise a measure that costs the government money just like a boycott costs a corporation money... Follow the money... Its the best venue.

Not a bad idea, except for 1 thing. Here in "The People's Republic of New Jersey", shortfalls in state funding are passed on to the citizenry. So if 'outside interests' plan on depleting the state treasury by
over taxing it's legal department's agenda, there's a VERY simple solution:
a: blitz speeders on I-95, Rt.78, Rt.287 and I-495. That's a quality of life issue for every person who
lives in the state or has to pass thru the state for anything.
b: across the board tax increases....currently there are proposals to
- tax well-water usage, despite wells being privately funded an on private property
- institute a gas tax
- increase tobacco tax
- increase tolls on GSP and river crossings managed by the Port Authority
This is not something NJ residents want. This is not something NJ residents want the residents of OTHER states to engage in. Wanna fight the state, bring them to court and pay the bill...don't put NJ residents into the position of funding the state's fight against a non-resident letter-writing campaign. Fact is, when I hunt out of state, I make sure I have a handle on local firearms laws and am in a position to be in compliance. The guy who got arrested for a bb-gun was not in compliance and was subject to arrest and detention, and confiscation of private property. Ignorance is no excuse, even if the violation is a minor offense which was addressed in an out-of-proportion response. Far be it from me to say that I agree with the democrat morons running this bankrupt state, but people have to do their part too, or stay out until they can ensure legal compliance.
The issue of putting a 20 year old boy in jail for 3 years beacuse a BB gun is in his car and he is speeding is a just the tip of the iceberg. The reason for this law is to make gun ownership something that people will not elect to do. The essence of the law is that anyone who is charged with any minor civil matter can be locked up for 3 years if they have a gun. If a police officer parks his car 13 inches from the curb, he is violating a parking law and he too could be charged with a gun violation. Why should people roll over and accept this? If a state hasfunky laws they should expect people to protest. Protests do cost governments money. This protect is just direct and can be very effective.
PRNJ is a special case. Used to deer hunt in WV with a bunch of guys from PRNJ. Every one of them was a union member whovoted the way the shop steward told him to. Now some of those guys have their guns stored with friends in WV. Yep, they are still voting for gun grabbers.
You are SOOOO right Falcon. I have neighbors who, despite paying 14,000+ in property taxes annually (no fire dept, no city water, no public sewer, no municipal trash) vote FOR property tax increases so the local school can buy new uniforms for the teams. Cripes.
And for bhirst, you should know that here in the tri-state area (and Pa is NOT a tri-state), firearms licensing is DESIGNED to deter, confound and frustrate. The goal is to make people not apply for a state-sanctioned 'license' to exercise a right acknowledged under the constitution. Thats the PURPOSE of licensing, whether you know it or not, and despite the STATED reasons for licensing. In NYC you need a license for rifles and shotguns which must be renewed every 2 years, in person, and every year the location of the 'Firearms Control Board' changes to a different borough. You must keep abreast of where to go when it's your time to renew. You do not walk out of the place with your new license, however. For me, they mailed it 3 weeks after my renewal, in an envelope which was never sealed, but FOLDED shut. Oh, and the penalty for loss of license is revokation. Don't talk to me about licensing or penalties. I believe EVERYONE should have a firearm with NO licensing or restrictions (except for mental disability or for convicted felons....) on types of weapons.
Do you HONESTLY think that petitioning the NY State government for redress of greivances regarding policy is a tool that people can use ? This is a state which is controlled by a political party (The SC*MBAG DEMOCRATS) whose national senatorial candidate was to be prosecuted for criminal activity and who pulled out of the race after a state-imposed deadline whereby the candidate could not be replaced. They dusted off that old piece of crap Frank Lautenberg and attempted to run him in place of the other guy. The republicans protested, the case was brought to the NJ state supreme court, another Democrat-appointed 'outhouse' who ruled the substitution lawful despite the law. Yeah....writing letters will have no other affect than to make everybody ELSE pay for your protest. If you want to protest, hire a lawyer and find a cause.
The short of it is this: you don't drive without a license, and you must know the rules of the road. This 20 year old kid whose situation is so unfortunate, did not know the 'rules of the road' and was caught and prosecuted. I know when I hunt in Maine, I need to travel from NJ where I'm licensed, thru NYC where id' be a felon, then once outside of NYC id' be ok...from NY state up thru Connecticut. In Massachussetts I need a 'transport permit' which I elect to NOT apply for, subjecting me once again to arrest and confiscation of my firearms.
Once I'm out of Ma, I'm ok for the rest of the trip. I know the rules of the road. If you travel with anything in your car other than than groceries, you'd better know the laws of the state you're driving through.
If a NJ Republican is so lucky as to get elected to the US congress it is because the guy/girl is an anti-gunner. The citizens of NJ are so anti-gun liberal that it is nearly impossible for a pro-gunner to get elected.

you're in the x-ring with this one too. There was one candidate, Brett Schundler (R) from Jersey City but he
dropped the soap and so, Frank lautenberg is the crap we have as an ersatz representative.
ANti gun ? Anti hunting TOO ! I applied for special permits in one township where I had to qualify with shotgun (it was a joke) to get the hunting permit. Once I got it, there was a litany of "don't do" this and "better not do" that in regards to hunting on unmarked township land and wandering unexpectedly onto private property. There was no question about prosecution so I figured...let these crapbags kill themselves running over the deer, and let these crapbags' kids and pets get lyme disease and they can all go to the devil. The cost of being a bung-hole..... I won't hunt here if I can help it. I got to Maine, or NY or basically, anyplace else.
Wow, after reading all this I now understand how somebody like John Corzine holds office in NJ. Go ahead and take it to the state level. If it cost the state anything, I'm sure Corzine will have a special tax increase justfor your cause.....and you still won't get the desired result.
