Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default we'll talk with Iran afterall

In a big policy reversal, President Bush this week authorized a top State Department diplomat to attend upcoming nuclear negotiations between Iran and the European Union.
White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said the United States would be there "śto listen, not to negotiate,"ť but it"™s still a major change from the administration"™s position that it wouldn"™t participate in even preliminary meetings until Iran suspended its uranium enrichment program.
Just a few months ago, Bush was calling Barack Obama"™s willingness to meet with Iran "śappeasement."ť

So I guess Bush is gonna use Obama's playbook. A little late for this stunt to help the party.

Help the admin do what? Bush cannot serve more than 2 terms. I can't believe you didn't know that.

Difference is, Obama would sit down and NEGOTIATE with Iran without preconditions, not just "listen to talks." That is, before he flip flopped and said he WOULD have preconditions.

No this is a take it or leave it opportunity for Iran right now. We already know the 30 years no talk has ever made them change.I'd like to find out exactly why Obama thinks he can succeed when all others have failed. Truth be told the sanctions are having a major impact on them. They need investment in their oil fields and other areas in their infrastructurebut they can't buy the parts. They have 30% inflation taking place and the last thing they want is more sanctions getting ready to be imposed. We shall see what happens.

There are no negotiations, just set them staright....Do you realize that Russia and China are also going! Watch something other than CNN to get the facts.

I thought the french were dpoing a lot of buisness with them.

I do believe the sanctions are hurting them. Them being the kids and regular citizens, thay aren't touching the upper goverment people just like Iraq.
