Just because someone is "illegal", doesn't mean they are not paying taxes...especially social security and medicare. I know there are jobs "under the table", but just being an illegal worker doesn't neccesarily mean they're avoiding tax. Only unscroupulous and illegal employers are going to hirepeople "under the table" for any length of time, generally, imo. I'm sure that there are total cash industries and perhaps even small localized economies (especially in urban areas) that are flying under the radar, butmany are probably not.

I'd like someone to explain exactly how you can receive welfare without a valid SS#. I'm not saying it can't happen and I know nothing of the welfare system (thankfully), just wondering how it happens

Well, that's the best news I've heard in a long time. Let's hope those numbers also apply to
San Francisco, Sacramento, etc.... It's good to see SOMEBODY"s chewing up the liberals over
there on the "left' coast. Viva reconquista ! Soon as they get it back, they'll be looking to dump
it as 'undesirable'....

I'm not sure if its the same in other states, but there's been a relatively high number of hit-and-run and drunk driving acidents caused by illegals in my state. They often run back to Mexico and turn up a year or two later and get arrested for something else while using another alias.[:@]

That sort of thing has been going on for years. I remember witnessing a concrete-laden dumptruck being
driven by beer-drinking south-of-the-border types which failed to stop at a red light. They rolled right up
the back of a Chevy Nova and crushed the young woman inside on her way to teach. They got out and ran away like kids who broke a window. No concern for the lady in the car, the truck they were driving, other drivers...nothing. So when they say we need a comprehensive plan for dealing with this crap, I say we already have a comprehensive plan, and that calls for capture, detention and deportation. Already on the books everywhere, except in Kalifornia where they give aid and comfort to these criminals. They get what they deserve and I'm looking for the numbers to go up. I guess I'm just an optimist. They always pull that sorta crap, like when they got a civil-court ruling which classified mountain lions as endangered (in an effort to cease the deer hunt) and then had to deal with pets disappearing and being attacked when walking in the parks with their families. Ha ha ha. This is just more of the same.....consequences for stupidity.
