Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Don't you love it when

The Colombian Army pulls off a brilliant rescue of 5 hostages from Communist rebels, but then turns around and lets everyone know exactly how they did it. Good luck with trying it again in the future.

Retired General Wesley Clark says that McCain's war service is not necessarily a good qualification for President. But several years ago, Clark said that John Kerry's service in Vietam did qualify him for President.

The police in Ohio won't even bother with one of my neighbors (with a criminal record a mile long) who has repeatedly abused his live-in girl friend and sold drugs out of his home. But if they suspect me of DUI, they can strap me down and take a blood sample.

I need a beer and a nap[&o]

I think the rebels have been cutoff from communication in a remote area. The army wanted the word to get out to the rebs that the gig was over.

Comparing McCain's service record to Kerry's is a joke. Clark is retired alright and probably doesn't know what he is babbling about. partisanship at its finest right there.

Too early for a beer and a nap is out of the question.

Can't remember what ex-military guysaid it, but it went something like this, "A retired General should never pass up an opportunity to keep quiet about politics."

If i recall correctly, Clark's claim to fame is almost starting World War III while commanding peacekeepers in Yugoslavia. Iactually thought he tried a ballsy move, but it was a bit shortsighted for a would-be President or Vice-Presiden.

D!ck Morris had an explanation for this. He said he did the same thing during Bill Clinton's campaign, in which they used Hillary as the "cape" to Bill's "matador." They'd wave Hillary around to distract people, and Bill would come out squeaky clean.

Same thing here, only Obama's the matador, using Clark as the cape... Obama gets to run around shouting "I'm a patriot. I'm a patriot. And, I'm not going to question McCain's patriotism.... [mumbling under breath]I'll get my minions to do that for me..."

It's Amazing how classier (and more effective I may add) generals that are nowretired Powell,Schwartzkoff and Franks kept their political opinions/aspirations to themselves. Clark seems to be quite the Jackass. I believe he has lost a lot of credibilty.

Its sad because he does have a pretty damn good military record. But, the interviews i have seen showed him to be somewhat of a goofball in terms of functioning in a political arena. Guess that being a General didn't help him out too much in terms of elected office.
