Funny, and what exactly are the Dem's doing to help out the economy? NOTHING!

LOL, I new that would get a rise out of you! At the moment no one really knows what to do. The administration has screwed up everything so bad that a quick fix is near impossible. Hopefully we can get a change in leadership that will slowly build our wealth and prospeirity back, may take awhile.http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article19365.htm

You couldn't be more wrong. Bush has done wonders to our economy when you take into the account all the events that have occured since he's been in office. We've been through a recession, a DOT Com bubble, Terrorist Attacks, two major wars, he's had to clean up the mess left from the 90's of corporate scandles. All that and today we still aren't in a recession, we're at full employment and despite high fuel prices the malls and stores are packed with people.
No unfortunately it's the Dems who have no clue and/or don't care to do anything. We have on the table:
Making the tax cuts permenant - despite record amounts of money coming into the treasury, the dems demands to let them end and raise taxes on everyone.
More domestic drilling - With 76% of Americans supporting this and even 56% of folks in Ca supporting drilling off their shores, what does the Dem's want to do? They want to raise the price you pay at the pump. They want you to pay higher electric bills. They want you to stay home with a thumb in your mouth and one in the other end and play switch. No thank you!

I'm not a democrat but we only have 2 choices now. I'm thinking mabey the new leadership will bring our deficit back to 0, and make things more like the 90's. Inspire the people alittle too. The trust factor is at 0 with bush/cheney/McCain.http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article19365.htm

Unfortunately, I see things alot different than you do right now, and must agree with Don on this one. Those so called facts do not appear to be showing it up this way.. Now suppose we was to drill and find alot of oil, then what? With no way to refine it how in the heck is this going to help us out? I do believe just by the idea of drilling it may cause some sort of a shake up among the ouil giants. Once they figure it out they will buy it cheaper from us to refine for us and sell it all back at the same marked up price because we can not refine it at this time. In the mean time our economy continues to spirral out of countrol. Maybe we should hand all that is left over to the CEOs to invest it in another country for us.. Alot of americans support offshore drilling and those are alot of dems too, so I think I must have missed your pointy. It's the politicians and not the population. With those record amounts of money coming into the treasury how come we have more going out than in? AnywayI already know where you stand as well as you where I stand..

Your change in leadership will only hasten the exodus from the US of any business. There are many ways we can build our wealth back unfortunately B.O wouldn't have a clue on how to do any of that. Jimmy Kotta all over again.

We need other countries buy goods we produce, the trend seems to be we in the US are buying more and more products from outside our borders. So its like we're taking money out of our system and putting it in others, we need more money coming into our system then going out.
I wonder how the economy would be doing if instead of just buying any product....if every product we bought was made right here in the good ole USA.
Sure nowadays we can own/buy a lot more junk, whereas back in the day we may have had less but I would argue we had less, but it was quality, nowadays we seem to have more stuff. Sure it's not all junk, but none the less.

I suggest you study more than just words. Words mean something and the outcome could be detrimental to us. Just because a canidate can read words off a tele-prompter doesn't mean he has the ideas or wisdom to lead us. Just listen to Obama when he isn't reading a prewriten speech, He is worst than GW and I can't count how many people called GW stupid because he mangled words. Obama, mangles ideas let alone words. He says gas prices are Ok today. Do you think that as well? Let me know if you need more examples, however I wish you would investigate history on your own. Don't rely only on your 20 or so years in this world. I prefer you toread what happened in the past based on what Obama plans to repeat. I would rather you study the subject rather than me telling you or you just listening to only his words.

FYI, no national politician cares about 4 votes in the electorial college. Wake up and smell the coffee. You are reliant on your state government and your congressional representatives. When you keep re-electing Snow and Collins, it shows you all really don't want results and/or change.

First, more supply will kill the speculation of growing demand and less supply. Second, 3 new plants are being built in NorthAmerica. Forgive, I only remeber the location of the Canandian plant because they will be dedicated to diesel. 3rd, there are many different quote "oil" companies, not just the ones the media make into a poster child. They want to more product and that should be enough said.

Sorry the facts don't suppoprt your statement. Sure do some jobs leave, more jobs here are created and not just burger flipping. Funny how those who claim that to be the case find themselves employed but it's their freinds that find themselves in those positions. FYI, hang out with different people. Ones that are moving up instead of down.

No it's you who has missed that pointy. Your supporting Obama and he likes the price of gas and wants no new drilling. Seems he thinks private folks risking their own money for new oil supplies is a gamble so he wants to veto it.

You tell me when we now have a 3.2 trillion dollar budget. Why can't we agree to a 10 - 20% cut across the board?

Bo'sanswer to the oil crisis is to initiate oil windfall profit taxes again. That takes us back almost 40 years. It worked in reverse last time and it took years to undo the damage and now he wants to try again. He will tax our middle class right out of existence. His end result model will still have the wealthy with poor making up the majority of the taxpayers forking out everything to pay for the government. No thanks I like my life just the way it is.
