Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Rumsfeld Declines to Endorse McCain

[blockquote]
Quote:
Former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld recently declined to answer whether he will support Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) for president.

McCain, the GOP presidential standard-bearer, has been one of Rumsfeld's harshest critics. McCain has said that Rumsfeld will "go down as one of the worst secretaries of defense in history."

The Hill talked to Rumsfeld earlier this month near his downtown D.C. office.

Rumsfeld told The Hill that he has not followed the presidential elections, but instead has been focused on work for his private foundation.

Asked whether that meant he wasn't going to support McCain, Rumsfeld answered: "I have not been involved at all."
Rumsfeld declined to comment any further. He also declined a follow-up request for comment on the issue to his personal office
.

Yes that would stand to reason. Rumsfeld didn't manage the war correctly and McCains backing of the surge worked so Rumsfeld was proven wrong. This is not rocket science. I know the Dems hate that the surge worked maybe Rumsfeld will endorse Obammer.

Not having Rummie backing McCain is best since McCain wants to distance himself from Bush and bury the theory that McCain 2008 is Bush 3. More of the same is not what the American people want this time around. Obama is offering that but most can see he can't deliver. McCain will win and I feel 2009 will be a great recovery time in many sectors.

The candidate that gets his endorsement will suffer. They both must be ducking his calls since his ratings must be at about zero...even from his old boss who fired him.

Even though I'm neck deep in this country I'm gald I can still laugh at this Barnum production.I don't know who's funnier, the people in the ring or the people in the seats. LOL The main event kills me. Groups of people who talk out of both sides of their mouths and their buttocks all at once. It's a freak show!

Freak Show pretty much encapsulates American politics going back to the beginning.

The best thing that could happen for the Republicans would be for Bush to endorse Obama.

I wonder if they've thought of that?

The best thing for the Republicans is to hope that Michelle Obama is afforded as many opportunities as possible to speak in front of a camera without any interference from her husband's handlers[]
