Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Gas problem soon to be solved

A pray at the pump movement is now underway in Toledo. People are gathering at local gas stations to pray for lower gas prices. Maybe I will give it a try when i stop off this evening for the usual 40 ounce bottle of Miller beer and pack of Red Man.

Perhaps they should move downstate a bit and hold their prayer meeting near Cincy, having Big Butter Jesus at your meeting could only improve their chances...

Grew up there. To complain (not that i haven't a million times) would be to say God made a mistake. I'm thankful for the experience or better yet, should be.

Don't underestimate the power of a person trying to talk to God. Things are often not what they seem. This is most likely the result of things in the past and it will just as likely effect the course of events in the future. Seems silly at the time though.

I have often thought that the problems we have today are the result of getting rid of God/commandments/do unto otherismsfrom public life. The current free market montra is "do unto others first" and a blatant "I not only covert your goods, I'm taking them". Maybe this event will in some way wake uppeople to the error. Government and the free markey could use a moral conscience these days.

Which would people rather have, God or the government?Someones going to rule.

Just heard there was a major vprotest taking place at the Nationals stadium. They want the big Exxon sign removed because the Exxon isn't green and they high fuel prices. What do they want, cheap gas or conservation?

Heck, they're doing more to solve the issue than Congress is . . .

Saudi was saying they were going to increase production by 200, 000 barrels a day to help relieve the panic from the west. Nice that they are so concerned but the reality is they don't want high petro prices to spurn a movement to go nuke, wind or solar from the west and thus reducing the dependency for their oil. Same story as in the late 70's when they baited the hook and reeled us in again. The recent bombing on the Nigerian pipeline more than negates the promised increased oil production from Saudi Arabia. The price of crude will continue to rise until free markets dictate a reduction based on demand and futures.
