Evidentally two muslim women wearing scarves were not allowed to be seated in a spot behind the podium where they could be seen on camera at an Obarter appearance. The Obarter campaign has apologized, but the gals are still mad and say that they want to hear it directly from Obarter.

Wasn't really a security issue. The gals were told that it had to do with political sensitivity or something like that. Likely the same logic that resulted in the ad being pulled because Rachel Ray was wearing a scarf that looked a little like the one that Arafat used to wear.

Well, keep in mind that it was likely some junior volunteeer that made the call and wasnt some conscious effort by Obarter. However, if the same thing had happened with a McCain event, it would likely make the front page of the New York Times. Welcome to election 2008!

Jr. member or not his elect ability is hinged on distancing himself from any ties to the Muslim world and being a racist. His hope is to have people forget about his African heritage and see him as a white candidate with dark skin.

No free pass. He wants to keep his wife out of the spot light because her approval ratings are real bad. I saw a poll today and 60 something percent didn't like her. Among other shortcomings that one sunk Kerry in 2004. The katsupwoman didn't fit the image the American people wanted as their first lady.
