Is this country going to hell in a handbasket? I tend to blow things out of proportion, so my thought is ....yes based on but not limited to the following...........
Dependency on oil.......... and now we are getting the screws put to us.
Once American based companies are now owned by Foreign interests. They own more of America than America does.
Elected officials that are more interested in winning politics and putting $$ in their pockets than being the voice of the people.........
Liberal agenda's are taking over.............
Christianity all but removed from this country.........
Open borders...........
How do we change this path we are on or am I just paranoid?

Blame the EPA and our congress for this sorry state. I don't want polluted streams, oceans, land or air like any other reasonable person and I don't want to leave it to my kid either or his kids. . We are supposed to be wise stewards of our land, there has to be a balance of resources and not just this stuck in the sand mentality that certain sectors of our society possess.Mention a nuke plant and all the envirowackjobs start crying. We had one accident in 30 years of any consequence and they treat that like Chernobyl. We have tons of clean burning coal that used to exist in Utah and now is part of the Gran Escalante National Park thanks to Klintoon and his buddy Jimmyfrom Indonesia who controls the rest of this clean burning coal. If we combine all these new technologies(Solar,Hydrogen,Electric) and drill offshore of Florida(China is thanks to cuba) we can wean ourselves off petroleum gradually. I get a big kick of these soccer moms that drive huge SUV's and yet are mad at Oil prices, 20,000 sq ft homes for 2 retired people with 8 bathrooms but theyget upset when the energy bill goes up. No one wants a refinery around the corner from their house. Folks it will get uglier before it gets better because our congress works much slower then the people want or need. Do you see them giving up their Limos or private jets? not hardly and the new way of thinking is tobash Wealthy people that own these same items. Yet those Wealthy people in most cases worked for what they have and created jobs for hundreds if not thousands of workers and theydeserve it not some lazy ass Politican that accepts kickbacks, payments from Lobby groups. We got ourselves into this hole and we have to dig out of it. One thing about America is when our backs are up against the wall we do prevail..

That is a worldwide phenom known as the multi-national , its just not happening in the US
Elected officials that are more interested in winning politics and putting $$ in their pockets than being the voice of the people.........
See my first reply
Liberal agenda's are taking over.............
Yes the country is going that way since Children from the cradle are being bombarded by schools and then the media with that mode of thinking. Raise your kids right and don't worry about the rest
Christianity all but removed from this country.........
We are supposed to be a haven from religious persecution that applies to all religions except Taliban
Open borders...........
How long has this problem been happening? The Mexican government is performing genocide but instead of killing people they are shipping their unwanted, unskilled people elsewhere because of their failed system see no people hear no people. I have always thought this. MCain is the only one that has some sort of handle on this B.O will just stick his head in sand or other convenient dark hole
How do we change this path we are on or am I just paranoid?
Like I said before it will get uglier before better...I think one day 1/2 the country will be fed up enough to do some serious damage. Beware the slippery tongued devil amongst us.

I hope so, but I'm not so sure about that nowaday's. It seems tome that a lot of people are content with the new "feel good" agenda's from the left and fail to see the consequences or the other side of the coin.

Agree, but it used to not happen in the US at least not at this rate. It's scary when you think about it.

This country was built on Christianity and prospered. Is it coincidence that when we turn our backs on God that we start to see a drastic change in the direction fo the country?

Churches are every where, TV is full of Christian TV including kids shows.
This Country was built on christianity and our leaders in the past carried that torch. Prosperity followed.
It's bigger than bible school or a TV show......
Without a doubt. This was a Christ loving believin country from the 1700's up to probably 1970. And we prospered. In this century, I guarantee you we will see what happens to a country who turns thier back away from God when he has done so much for us.
your going to see a bunch of people post about founding fathers, and goverment, and separation of Church and state. But honestly I am not referring to those. I am talking about the hearts and minds of the people. Where they lie when it comes to God. The people are the country, not the goverment. But its just the way it has to go down. God's word has to be fullfilled, and for it to be fullfilled and take back his believers, our country and others has to turn thier back.
What you are seeing is workers being betrayed by thier own country, as government pushes for more free trading. Big corporations pulling up stakes to go to another country without strong environmental laws and cheap labor. The demand for fuel growing steadily at an alarming rate all because of it. Making more things out of plastic also increaseing the amount of oil being used. The lists goes on, the gov making steady jabs at union workers along with big corporations. While the top 5 big leaders of those corporations are raping the companies and it's workers. Why would I say this? Simply put in the 70's unions were strong and the money the workers made was being spent in the areas they worked unlike the Ceo's of big corporations running it to the bank and holding onto all they can. This country prosperd as did the corporations here, the mom and pop shops were also making a decent living here. Not today are they, the money is heading out of the country and very little planning on how to get it back. The gov getting it's pockets lined by big corporations while they are heading to new countries to make even bigger profits.
Christianity was running stronger as well, but, with all the accusations flying around about the child molesters leading the churches it would be hard to keep it strong, wouldn't it? Still it was a part of it as well.
This Country was built on christianity and our leaders in the past carried that torch. Prosperity followed.
The Declaration of Independence onlymakes vague references to a pantheistic deity such as "his creator" and "divine providence" but does not use the words God, Jesus, Christ, Christian or Bible. Nowhere in the Constitution does God, Jesus or the Bible appear. In fact Article 9 of the Constitution prohibits the use of religious tests for public office and the First Ammendment bars the government fromany establishment of religion. In theTreaty of Tripolithere is a clear statement that the United States is not a Christian nation. If the Founding Fathers had intended the United States to be a Christian nation I do not think they would have so completely excluded any references to Christ from our foundational documents.
I believe the United States was founded on the values of the Enlightenment and that is why it has prospered far more than any theocracy has.
