Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Obama is in trouble. Mark my words. He won't be the top of the ticket this fall. He's not in charge over there. He is only an empty suit being handled by others.

I think Deane is on the way out. If what you say is true FM that would be a real ball buster. That would mean the Clintons are really controlling everything and I can't imagine the problems that would be created for race relations if bama wasn't given the nomination.

No not the clinton's, they've been thrown under the bus. However, there is one common name that continues to pop up all over the place, George Soros.

care to wager on that one? (the "top of the ticket" part, not the "empty suit" part)

There is one side of me saying, "no way will America vote in this nimrod for several reasons", then another piece of me can't ignore his popularity with hollywood, and all the kids who never voted before, and just wants something different. I am tempted to wager you the money BD owes me. I know you would be good for it. I just can't see America keeping thier head in the sand so far that all they will vote on, is "he speaks well".

i'm not saying he'll win, although i give him a slight edge over mccain, if i had to handicap it today. i was just responding to FMs statement that he wouldn't be at the top of the ticket/democrat nominee (unless i misread FM's post).

and understand i have no emotional connection to either MccCain or Obama (my guy was Richardson, and he died early). my experience on elections is that most people do NOT vote on issues- they vote viscerally. and Obama simply has more visceral appeal than McCain. and to date, the McCain campaign has shown no real ability to counter that.
i would cheerfully wager you the macanudo or gurkha of your choice, on the election outcome, if you wish.

I'm sticking by my prediction that I made way back in December time frame. It has been done before because the Dems wanted to win so bad. I do believe they will pull a Lautenberg and replace him when he falls way behind in the polls and it's evident he can't win. He is certainly stumbling pretty bad eventhough the national press is propping him up as much as they are and are doing everything they can to tear down John McCain.
