Unemployment is up. Minimum wage is up. Lots of kids are fresh out of school and looking to start a job.

Who was it that pushed for the minimum wage increase?

To bad alot of them are having trouble finding a minimum wage job, most of the burger fliping jobs have been taken up by middle aged factory workers that have been layed off and their jobs shipped to China!

It's Bush's fault. He has cut taxes way too much and therefore parents are able to pay better allowances which are in fact higher then the kids could earn on at ameaningless job at minimum wages. We need to raise taxes on the parents and take that disposble income out of their hands and away from those teens.

Must be talking about someplace else. Around here, a teenagercan have a job flipping burgers at the drop of a hat. if they want to put a little effort into the job hunt they can likely find a jobthat pays a dollar or two per hour better than minimum wage.

BD, it must not be doing that bad. I'm on my third landscaper to come to my neighborhood to edge and mulch our trees. It's easily a $2000 job but I guess it must be nice to have plenty of work and not want anymore. I can't even get these guy to bid on the job. I guess I'm going to go find a mexican next.
