Yes, Russia has peaked but I believe it is directly related to Governmnet take over. They are a prime example of someone beliving they can run it better then the experts. Hugo is having the same problem. They want the money but have no clue what it takes to keep the cash cow flowing. The people on this board who feel government needs to regulate and or take over big oil need to study the gas lines of the 70's (would you rather gas up and go like today or wait hours trying to gas up?) or look how well the government is runningthe crap they have today.
My brother in law is from cuba. His grandfather built up one of the biggest farms on the island. Just before Castro came to be, they were diversifing into cattle from the sugar cane they built up. They went to Texas and bought a prize stud bull for 25K (a lot of money in early 60's). When castro came to power they lost their farm to nationalization. Castro installed his own man to run the farm "better". One of the first things he did was slaughter that bull for dinner.
