Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Jesse Venture running for president?

Has anyone seen Jesse V. all over the news channels lately?

Recently he said he plans to be on the ballet when that time comes.....he plans to be the "none of the above" candidate.

I certainly enjoy watching him when he's on, he makes some sense.

He called some guy a chicken hawk to his face too, I loved it.

He and Bob Barr certainly arent going to help McCains chances, depending on how the democrats settle their mess, it could end up being another 1992.

To be honest, I really wouldent mind seeing a 3td party canidate have a respectable showing at the polls. It might help both parties clean up their act. Neocons and Socialists arent doing the trick for most of America.

I've often thought the same, except I'd like it to be a complete voter rout of Congress and the White House. Hey, a guy can dream...

Neocons??? Heck, todays Republicans are yesterdays' Democrats!!!!! There are hardly any true CONSERVATIVES left!!!! Jesse V. would seem more likely to attract Democrats if I remember correctly, most of his stance mirrored the Liberal side of life.

get Jesse in the debates, lets see what he's made of and yes, I'd very much consider voting for him over what else is on the ballots

Jesse has been flappin his pie-hole about running for president since he did not seek another term as governor of MN. He is a goofy and overly whiney bastard, that is a little too full of himself.

He sure doesent look it to me, he strikes me as a moderate republican with a libertarian bent and a distaste for traditional party controled politics.

http://www.ontheissues.org/Jesse_Ventura.htm

Just from what I've read there I'd consider voting for him

Here's a few of my favorites...

"Social programs should be a safety net, not a hammock

Global cooperation OK; world government not

Modernize, simplify, & clarify tax system.

Repeal the 16th Amendment

Concealed weapons OK if you can pass safety exam

No national (health)care, but pure capitalism can"™t work.

War isn"™t civilized; don"™t expect warriors to be

Government is no bottomless pit of money-it"™s from you & me

Drug addiction is a health problem, not a crime

Teach "ścreation science"ť in church, not schools

Public schools can"™t advocate religion; private prayer OK

Loosen federal control; leave more to state & locals"

I like that he's not all demo, or all rep, which I feel most of us are....I have a friend who's almost pure democrat, but because of abortion/religious views alone always votes rep.

Would be nice to see a guy with more than half of your views in office....like a pro gun democrat.....or a republican that didn't act like billy graham.

Me too. I like him even if he is a little self-absorbed

*yawn*

The public just doesn't give a damn about third parties. Most people are stuck in our bipolar political world and see no reason to abandon it now. When I was more youthful and very libertarian, I welcomed alternatives. Now I realize that they're just a waste of time and money, at least for the foreseeable future.

It would beone thing is there were third parties all over the place, but most of the active ones are right-of-center. All they seem to dois hurt conservatives while helping liberals. Yeah, Republicans are a piece of work sometimes. But giving the Democrats a chance at winning by abandoning the GOP at the polls? No thanks. If we're not going toelect athird party presidential candidate, what's the point of hurting the saner of the two major parties?
