I just heard on the news there's a report that Clinton has offered to drop out if Obama will pay off her campaign's debt. Might be just a rumor but I understand the Clinton's are well known for their back room deals.

Boy, if that is true, she can just stick it!! It is her problem that she is in debt, not Obama's. I am not rooting for either one of them, but if she is trying to get him to pay off all her campaign debt if she drops out, she just lost even more of my respect.(like she had any anyway.......)

Yes, it's just a rumor I heard on the morning news. But it's becoming more and more apparent that she's going to have to bail. The Obama campaign has lots of money, so it's a reasonable thing from both sides. That way Obama can concentrate on McCain instead of fighting off Clinton.

This claim is false and was addressed by the head campaign manager of the Clinton campaign last night on CNN.
I'm not impressed by that. It could very well be false and just a rumor. I'm not going to argue otherwise. But to assume that campaign managers always tell the truth is a bit naive in my opinion.
It would be completely reasonable for her to float that kind of balloon to the Obama camp. It would also be completely reasonable for the Obama camp to leak it. It would also be completely reasonable for the Clinton camp to deny it. So as far as I'm concerned, maybe, maybe not.
