I might very well vote Democrat in 2008
I've said it for years, you take the most important things to you and find the candidate that matches and you vote. GW was suppose to be a conservatives savior and he's grandly failed. I put faith, abortion, military, guns etc at the top of my list in 2000 and 2004 and he's failed me over and over.
In 2008 its the economy. Thats it. Its my #1 goal and McCain cannot help it. Can Hillary? I think yes, she can, because for some reason Democrats in office makes the economy boom and I can't take another 4 years of a GW clone.
Against all my nature as a gun owner, as a sportsman, as a Jesus believing man .... I just might vote Democrat in 2008, something I've never considered doing before [&o]
Go for it. I was reasonably satisfied with the economy with slick Willy in office, don't think that she would do much worse. However, everything else on your wish list might suffer a bit.

There's no way I could vote for either of those 2 jokers. In some respects, a Clinton administration probably could be beneficial to the economy. However, can the economy really thrive with Clinton's proposed tax increases? What if she decides to follow the wishes of some of her Democratic colleagues and raise the federal excise tax on gasoline to fund alternative energies and encourage reduction of consumption? Probably the biggest issue by far facing us from an economical standpoint right now is the global decline of the dollar. Until Washington stops spending money like it grows on the proverbial tree, the national debt will continue to grow and the dollar will continue to decline in value. And Clinton has proposed how many billions in various projects?
No thank you. I won't vote Clinton (or Obama). Even if she proposed to cut out all earmarks, reduce the federal budget in its totality, took a pledge to support no new taxes and vowed to leave the '01 and '03 tax cuts in place, I couldn't vote for Clinton. She brings far too much baggage on the other issues.
Now, as for GW Bush. I think he's a moderate at best on some issues, but that's primarily on spending, immigration, etc. I, too, am a pro-life supporter and faith ranks very high on my list. In those regards, I think the Bush administration has advanced us forward . . . especially where abortion is concerned.

Out of that list, i.e. faith, abortion, military, guns... please identify the ways he's failed you.

Please let us know how you think a massive tax increase is going to improve the economy. Also, since abortion is on your list... Please identify why you would vote for candidates who think it's OK to yank a viable fetus halfway out of its mother and scramble its brain, vs. a candidate who is staunchly pro-life.
Dont think one needs a degree in economics to think that consumer confidence would likely rise somewhat if a Dem was elected. Dont know if the confidence would actually be merited in the long run, but a change in regimes would likely positively effect a lot of attitudes in the short term, given the low poll ratings for Bush.

Bad move Duane. She is undoubtedly post menopausal now so her decision making and cool clear head is a thing of the past. You actually want to award her with the big red button? Seems just today she was threatening to annihilate Iran if they attacked Israel. You thing George is a war monger just wait until that frustrated b**** gets in there. No thanks I'll go with the old and slow and hope his VP is someone who can get it done after he shuffles out.

Nobody seems to care about congress in terms of consumer confidence. They could replace them with claymation figures and consumer confidence would rise initially if a Dem beats Bush.
