Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Wouldn't it be strange if the US did simular things? I guess we do like at Annapolis with our ships, or airshows of the blue angels, etc.

Yeah, I already brought it up in this thread...

Hillary is a real genius [/sarcasm]. By eliminating the tax, she'll increase demand (which causes prices to rise), AND, by stealing $8 Billion from the oil companies, she'll decrease funds available for drilling and development, thereby decreasing supply (which causes prices to rise). Brilliant.

Silly displays of past tense glory are for chest pounders who can't face the fact that they've become irrelevant, a socialist who will wreck our economy with her stupid ideas is far more frightening. Right across the street from my late grandpa's former home is a small park that prominantly features two WW2 howitzers, it's been there as far back as I can remember, and it's never bothered me. You'd be hard pressed to find a small town anywhere in Indiana that doesn't have a similar display, usually dedicated to fallen veterans, right in front of the courthouse. There's nothing wrong or scary about displaying tools that are no longer in use.

Lots of things are far more frighening. Cancer is frighening. Just found military parades interesting, I sure would call it frightening. I stillfail to see what a gas tax has to do with a military parade.

I sure don't see the correlation between old relics in your late grandpa's former home to a current military parade.

I love military parades. I wish we had more of them.

Now is probably not the time for such displays here at home. The nature of politics, and Americans' raw emotions, would probably end up making it ugly.

I have to admit, I would find it extremely interesting to see one live and in person.

We are flexing our muscle already, no need for parades. Also, we afford everyone the freedom of speech. A military parade would be met the anti military people protestingwhichwould surely damper the meaning of the parade and pride in our military. Or thats the way I see it.
