Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Hillary and gas prices

I just heard some highlights from Hillary's one on one with O'reilly. She said there was plenty of blame to go around, the problem is that we are not acting like Americans. We need to cap the profits of the oil companies. Is that what this country was founded on?

the invasion of Iraq is what has driven oil prices through the roof

to lower them we need to

(A) release the strategic reserves
(B) drill our own oil, for us
(C) build better refineries
(D) the above is a decade or two temp solution, electric/hydrogen needs to be developed NOW

A) Nothing but a possible SMALL short term effect, once gone, we are back to what we have today
B) YEARS away if we start now
C) MANY YEARS away if we start now
D) Good long term goal, no relief now, possible relief years from now.

The main thing pushing up the price is global demand. 10 years ago USA was the single largest consumer and we got low prices cause well we could always go to another company. Now with an ever increasing world demand, we aren't the prized customer we use to be.

Yeah... I thought the biggest factor was a massive increase in demand for oil in China and India.

I thought it had to do with the value of our currency tanking.

Getting back to the original point of the thread... I thought we spent 50 years winning the Cold War against Socialism.... And, now, we're on the verge of possibly electing a Socialist as our President. The ignorance of a significant portion of the American public is appalling.

That they do... and it's all Bushie's fault... especially that part about the increased demand in China and India...
