Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Are these things the same as guns?

Therehave beenmany cases where lasers were pointed at aircraft. One pilot was temporarily blinded when landing and the co-pilot had to take control of the plane.A NJ idiot shined a laser at aircraftseveral times before getting caught. He got 20 years in prison.Lasers are classified1 through 4. Class 1 and 2 lasers are eye safe. Class 3lasers aredangerous. Class 4 lasers are very dangerous. A laser bore sighter is a class3 laser.

When laser pointers are outlawed, only outlaws will have laser pointers!

There. I just wanted to be the first to say it.

A UMD physics professor shot me in the eye with a red diode laser once. It did not feel very good. It was not, however, what I'd consider deadly force.

Australians are going to end up being protected and only having rights like Kindergartners by their government, and I guess thats maybe what they want. Round pointed plastic scissors, plastic forks, spoons, and knifes, helmets for everything but walking, sippy cups, only time out and counseling for criminals, having to get permission to do anything, etc.... Big government equals big trouble, to much power in too few hands. It also does away with natural selection by making everything safe and sane, causes ignorant people to survive and breed, creating more ignorant people, really screwing up the gene pool.

Probably should ban hand held mirros too. You could flash the sun in a pilots eyes with one of those. Very dangerous. Can't tust an Aussey with anything that could be used for no good. Also no folded up posters of sexy women. Could distract the pilot.
