We were going turkey hunting last weekend and one of the guys in the group was a black guy. I told this other guy (my manager at work) that I was going to kill my turkey first, that I was going to kill my tukery before the black guy did because if I didn't ? Heck I couldn't go back to work and be around my friends and family letting a black guy show me up in the hunting woods.
Now I'm in a heap of trouble for saying that - it wasn't racial or anything, its just that I was raised in an all white community, its just what it is, white guys are better hunters and thats just the way it is, and I'm be embarrassed to let a black guy show me up.
Yes. You are wrong. I am not quite sure what makes a white eprson a better hunter. Do you mean that in genereal we hunt more and as a product of spending more time hunting we are on average better than a black man at hunting. If that is what you were trying to say then i guess its an accurate assumption.
It sounds to me that you would take it more personal if a black guy out hunted you then if a white guy did. If that is the case maybe you need to ask yourself why it would matter. The answer is probably the beggining of the end for some needless insecurities. I ask myself questions like that all the time and when my answer seems silly or doesn't make sense i can usually see that I am teh problem. Once you realize that you are making yourself feel the way you are simply change and be better for it.
Are you maybe in trouble because it's been noted that you aren't smart enough to realize that a joke like that would have been okay a generation or two back, but not now?

It takes skill and luck to be a good hunter, it has nothing to do with skin colour. One could say just because im dark skinned (being half Italian) that I am stupid or can't shoot to save myself. That is just racist.
