Politics has been turned into reality TV

Is it just me or has the whole political process been turned into the biggest reality tv game show of all. You get voted in based on how much people like you, and how bad you can make your competators look, not based on who is best suited for the job. Once on the job, if you do anything the majority of the viewers disagree with, they then try to throw you off the show early. The media plays the show producer by comming up with challenges for the contestants to overcome, challenges that have more to do with increasing ratings than addressing real issues. In these debates the politicians spend more time attacking and defending themselves from each other than discussing how to fix the problems that are destroying our country.

Maybe they could have Survivor - Washington broadcast every 4 years. Guarantee Hillary and Obama would starve to death if they had to find their own food. McCain would clean up though.

I think you are closebut I think of it like a highschool.I don't blame the media as much as you do because people have to buy into the garbage in the first place. This campaign has probably been the worst I have seen. However this is how I view the media. The media is cocky and unforgiving but the media can be played, they have been played by politicians for a long time. They are like the guy who thinks that everyone likes them but when they turn around everyone talks smack about them behind their back.

It is a popularity contest. The popular ones tend to be nasty, rude, and surround themselves with people weaker or less attractive than they are. You have Hilary your average "movie" prom queen.(without the pretty part)She is nasty and she does not care who knows it because she is number one and she will step on anyone to prove it.
Then you have Obama who is like the new kid, he's not ugly but has probably only done 1/4 of the things that he says he did. He will pretend he is a good guy and then use you to keep what he has.
Then you have a good portion of Americans who are their cronies. They want to be like them and if they don't want to be like them they want what they have. People like these make these sapsfeel privelaged to be considered worthy enough to be in their presence let alone hang out with them.
Then you have the crowd that despises these groups and everything they stand for.
The crowd who really doesn't care.
ect. ect.
You see it can't be reality t.v. because from what I've seen of the canidates so far is that they don't know what reality is and have been deceiving themselves for so long that they wouldn't know reality if it bit them in the butt.
For them it is all about popullarity and control. Obama fits the first profile and Clinton the latter.
