Have you heard about Spain's Secretary of Defense (or whatever they call it over there)? She is essentially a gender equity hire, has no military experience,is only 37, and is pregnant. But she could probably still do a better job than Rumsfield
Kind of cute too

I think Rumsfeld would have done a better job if he had her for his under-secretary. Knowing Rumsfeld he would have tried to convince her that as under-secretary she needed to physically be "under" the secretary. Well, she is pregnant after all, so I guess she had been under someone of late anyway!
Yeah, I noticed the smirk on his face also. However, he looks too old to have fathered any children of late unless he took an ammo box of viagra to bed with him.
Not to mention that the Generalisimo there might as well be castrated with the current government in power. I guess they are watching a funeral procession. That of Spanish military power, what little left of it there was before Monday.
I think the present Spanish administration has a policy or has enacted a law that all candidates advanced by political parties must comprise 1/2 women candidates. From what I hear, this woman is not prepared for her role by education, experience, or temperament. It is an egregious act of ruling by ideology versus by clear eyed, realistic engagement with the here and now of reality. On the other hand, Spain does not appear to be under military threat. Maybe no undue harm will come to them from this foolishness. Maybe Spain ought to just cashier its military and reinvest this disarmament dividend in some useful public work?

RE: Secretary of Defense
He isn't smirking it is a grimace. See he is holding up his hand so he doesn't have to look at her. If she is the secretary of defense, I would like to see the soldiers.
