Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Now Turkey' s on my list

Of countries that are really beginning to p*ss me off!

It was the U.S. that worked the hardest to get NATO to grant protection to Turkey in the event of war--and we' re in the process of getting it in there right now. Funny how they never tried to raise the " price" of allowing our troops in there during all that. We' re also in the process of improving their airbases so they' ll be better able to handle our planes--and theirs. We originally had hoped to get 100,000 troops in there, but IF they allow it, it would only be for 30,000 troops and DOUBLE the price tag previously accepted!

Let' s just go the sothern (and much tougher) route and remove our Patriot missiles and other protection that we don' t absolutely have to leave.

Default RE: Now Turkey' s on my list

The longer we wait, the worst it will get. Countries like Turkey will continue to blackmail us and the price tag will grow. Seeds of aprehension have been cast, and any anti-war protests will be latched on to by the media, and will grow - and each and every day that Saddam is allowed to blow off the 17 initiatives from the past 12 years of non-compliance without actually using the bio-weapons will foster the idea that he is contained and that should be good enough.

We need to start taking action.
