Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Divisiveness: Does ANYONE love America any more?

Look at the headlines, anywhere, here, anywhere.

Listen to what Ol' Lady Obama is saying about how this is the first time she truly loves America (of course we all know what she really meant).

Look at the slinging back and forth, side to side.

Look at the many movements to incorporate tolerance and diversity amongst our youngest generations, on up through the old timers.

Look at the push to make this place the "new Mexico".

Look at the effort this country has put forth to take God away from nearly everything. God being the gentleman he is, leaves without questions.

Just a few random thoughts I've been pondering for a bit. It seems amazing how fiercely this country is divided these days whether it's for good or bad or otherwise but seldom seems to be for the love of this country.

Loving this country is not inconsistent with wanting to fix a few things about it. Diversity and tolerance is really loving all the folks in this country -- what's the harm in that? There are so many different views on God that I don't hink anyone should try to shove his or her religion down someone else's throat; or expect the government to be in favor of your particular religion or any religion.

God bless America. With liberty and justice for all.

You say, basically, that God has no place in American government, and then ask God to bless America? LOL. Sorry, but that's just hilariously ironic.

It has not always been this way.

Congress has not always been so divided as it is now. LBJ and the Republican Senate Majority Leader were close friends. Congress got thingsdone back then. Now theparty goals over-ride everything else, including common sense. Both partys are run by Mickey Mouse tyrants who will lie to you in a heart beat.

Someone on another forum summed it up very well. Congress is like a bunch of pigs that broke into the corn crib and ate up all the corn. Now they are fighting over a few grains of corn in the t*rd piles.

In the past two years we have had congressmen who hid bribemoney in a refrigerator, took bribes from Jack Abramoff, demanded bribes from defense contractors, chased after little boys and propositioned cops in a bathrooms.

Most of the things that divide this country are Mickey Mouse feel good issues like gay marriage, abortion, flag burning and prayer in schools. Neither political party is worth two hoots in hell.

Yeah, the Continental Congresses got along just fine. No political interests at stake, no newspapers smearing one side or the other...everyone was in blissful harmony.

No, I say we have the Constitution barring the establishment of religion and the Bible saying render to Ceasar. I don't find them inconsistent or ironic at all.

God certainly has a place in America but religion ain't government.

Yep, folks in the Continental congress did argue. They also had the best interests of this country at heart. They did not take bribes, chase after little boys orargue about gays, flag burning, welfare, or the Ten Commandments.
