The Simpson's teaches poor, immoral behavior...on the other hand, in order for Baywatch to be considered "bad" for children, they would have first would have to have learned immoral behavior IMO

If The Simpsons hurts children's development and morality, I've got aMAJOR problem . I started watching that show in its 6th season, and never stopped watching the new episodes till this year (major drop off in quality of episodes, I think they're running out of material; I'drather watch South Park for my animated humor fill).

Its easy to pass offchild issueson the technology boogyman, but I think problems begin a little closer to home.

The Simpsons isn't a kids show - parents are responsible for what their kids watch, not the govt

The Flintstones, the very first cartoon to air during primetime, also got accused of moral turpitude occasionally. Looking back now that seems pretty silly.

My kids have never seen the Simpsons, mainly because Bart occasionally swears, and I don't want my kids hearing that, especially out of a kid's mouth.

Absolutely correct.

BTW. During the golden age of "The Simpson" (when Conan O'brian was one of the writers and Phil Hartman was still alive) there was nothing funnier on tv, but they have since become a little too PC and have certainly declined in humor factor to the point of mediocrity

I agree it isn't what it used to be. Duane is right it isn't a kids show and the parents need to supervise what they watch. Unfortunately the kids today get it all either through TV or the net. Things are different than when I grew up. Last weekend I went to a birthday party for my 5 year old grand daughter at a local place where they have an arcade, mini putt, laser tag, batting cages and all sorts of other things all inside. All the devices give tickets when you win...or lose which you can turn in when you leave to get prizes. The arcade games were pretty amazing and have really changed since the old pin ball games and early arcade games like asteroid. Lots of violent kill games that all the little kids seemed to do well on. 3D multi panel car race or fighter jet games were all over the place and it was pretty real. I was kind of shocked but I guess it is just modern life.

Baywatch is not that big of a deal. You got to remember what the custom beach wear is in that part of the world. Bare skin is no big deal.

I don't know. Who's the better role model, Bart Simpson or Pamela Anderson?
