American Legion Oratorical contest! My nephew won!!!

My nephew Spencer has been entering the AL Oratorical contests for over a year now. He won Local, county, State, and now took 1st Place in the National competition!!

My sister sent me the link to his speech. Think he's going into Politics?

I want to say congrats to your nephew!

But at the same time after listening to his speachI can not help but wonder what kind of childhood he had? It doesn't appear to me like he had very much except studying books and such his whole life?I do not agree with doing much in the line of amending the constitution for any reason. Open the door for one thing and you open it for all things.

Do I think he will be getting into politics? You betI do..

He has always had his head in one book or another. Also a Scout, spent alot of time outdoors, and plays a great Sax.
Multi talented kid. Very earnest and serious, even as a youngster.

That fact that so many kids don't bother with books is why his future has real potential. Someone has to have the mind to lead the millions of followers out there.

Not that I'd bother saying anything just Aught Sixsaid so, but a well-bred forename combined with a light-hearted nickname goes a long way in some people's minds.

He'll have at least a few years in college to find his inner badboy...and the voters, at least many of the men,will love him for it.
